So my DS has come up in chicken pox today. Poor soul is covered head to tie in them, now I have had chicken pox before but I have no immunity to them. We know this for a fact I have had them 4 times, and even after the vaccine I still have no immunity to them. Is there anything I can do to protect myself and baby from the effects of them?

So you've had chicken pox multiple times and the vaccine but you're still not immune? I don't really understand how that's possible (I'm a health professional)...
Have you had the antibodies test? If you're not immune then there's nothing you can do. It's highly contagious and you would have been exposed to it before the spots came up. However, you must have some antibodies to chicken pox if you've had it.

I have a blood condition, Immunoglobulin anemia, put basically my blood doesn't create antibodies properly. I have had the MMR vaccine numerous times too and still have no immunity to rubella. It's a precursor for lupus. Yes I have had many many blood tests to discover I don't form antibodies.
It was passed on from my grandmother to my mother to me.

That is how I know I have no antibodies to it and I know I have chicken pox multiple times.

Hmm, I think you should contact your doctor ASAP. I believe there are some drugs you can take in pregnancy to lessen how badly you get chicken pox .

I was exposed to chicken pox when I was around 12 weeks, I have had it twice before in childhood, as a very young baby and as a five year old. I phoned docs for advice and was rushed in for an emergency appointment, they took it v seriously.

As I have had it before and don’t have any underlying immune problems which you describe, the doctor said the baby would be fine even if I caught chicken pox. He also said there is no limit to how many times you can catch chicken pox. I think in most cases previous infection = no risk to baby, but as you have a health condition which affects your immunity, please seek medical advice as soon as you possibly can.

I had chicken pox at 16 weeks with my first

The go told me as it was over 12 weeks they were fairly happy and before 36 weeks

If you do get chicken pox you’d be over 11 weeks?

Thank you captains cat. I shall ring them tomorrow though I am at hospital for my booking appointment I will mention it to them if I can't get in to see my doctor before hand. Thank you for the advice, I have read about some injection but I have no ideas. I shall definitely ring them x
