Early gender scan?

Hi all :)

Just wondering who paid for a private gender scan?

It looks like you can get them as early at 16 weeks and I’m very excited about the prospect of finding out gender so soon!

We already had an early scan at 7 weeks and have the NHS 12 week one next week. I think now I know I can find out gender at 16 weeks I don’t think I will be able to wait till 12 week scan! I’m obviously very impatient :)

Is anyone going to do this? Or did you get one and was it accurate? X

Go get it done OP! It's a really beautiful experience and such an amazing way to bond with bumpBear

I've just had a gender scan at 16 weeks and found out we are having a girl!
It was one of the best things I've ever done and it's just so amazing to know what we are having!
Didn't find out with my son and I have to say, personally I much prefer knowing!
Worth every single penny
Can't wait to get it confirmed at the 20 week scan tho 🙈🙈

I also found out early on through a blood test- I think the results came through when I was 10 weeks.

Good luck at the early scan :)

I’d leave it till later. A friend went for an early one, told boy, asked to confirm it at 20 and was told a girl. I found out my gender at 28wk growth scan by midwife slip up. Didn’t actually want to know, and even that late on I’m still nervous it’s wrong!!

I'm far too impatient, I found out at 16 weeks my first was a boy. I'm now 10 weeks and really want to know

My local private scan place does them from 15 weeks, I think they are the only place in the UK to do them that early though! I had early ones with both my 2nd and now 3rd child. With my 2nd I was 16+4 and this time I was 15+6. Amazing experiences and means you can focus on the real reason for your 20 week scan, which is making sure baby is healthy!
