Hi Smiling
I was told paracetamol is fine in moderation but not to take aspirin.

Second ther paracetamol. Would seek GPs advice on anything containing more than this. Vapour rub will be okay though for clearing stuffy nose.

Oh Smiling, I really feel for you. I am 13 wks PG now, but have just had the WORST cold/cough nightmare for the last 3 wks! GP said fine to take paracetamol- but nothing else . I also smothered myself in Vicks at bedtime and drank lots of hot lemon and honey. GP also suggested sticking my head over a bowl of hot water with a towel over me- which was kind of effective.

Lots of hugs and hope you feel better soon.

Is it still safe to take every 4 hours type dose. I've been suffering alot of headaches but don't like taking more than 1 dose. I'd hate to be putting up with them needlessly. There is nothing worse than feeling miserable on top of MS, tiredness, aches & pains. Poor you.

Actually what you can do is as well as putting the vapour rub on your chest to clear your nose, you can rub it on your forehead as well - this will help relieve the headache. There is a similar product called 4head which is a rub on stick ,but TBH the vapour rub does the same job and is substantially cheaper. A pharmacist suggested this for me. You can also buy cooling patches - I use these and they are an absolute Godsend, I suffered bad migraines during my last pregnancy (been okay so far this time) and I wasn't able to take my normal migraine remedy, so I used the cooling patches. You can get them from Boots/Superdrug etc.
