How many weeks pregnant

Hi girls, I'm new here so sorry if there is something similar already in the mix that I can't find. I'm just wondering if anyone else can help.

I have no idea how many weeks pregnant I am, I discovered I was via multiple positive tests on 20th November. I've since had no joy in having any contact with my GP or a midwife. However I had bleeding so I got in touch with the local early pregnancy unit and they scanned to make sure everything was ok, some slight bruising around the sac causing the bleeding but all else is fine. Anyway I digress, she dated me at 6weeks 6 days today. Meaning that I would have been only 3 weeks 1 day pregnant when I found out. Firstly is that possible for me to have found out that early?

Also I thought I was further as the last time I bled was on 20th October which would have meant that I was 8weeks and 1. But this was bright red, did not appear to be a normal period so I had thought this was an implantation bleed.

I guess my main question is which is likely to be more accurate? The scan or going from first day of my last period?

Any tips on how I can get my midwife to contact me? Every time I ring my gp, the receptionist says she will be calling you this week; it's been almost a month now, should I stop worrying if I'm only 7 weeks? It's my first baby and I have no idea what I'm doing

I found out around 3-4 weeks. My sister in law took a test 6 days before her period was due and it came back 1-2 weeks so you definitely can find out as early.

I would go with the scan, we got a private scan because we found out so early and I just needed reassurance and at the time she dated me 5 weeks 5 days but the midwife had dated me 7 weeks going with the last period. When we got our 12 week scan she gave me the same as the private scan with the measurements of the baby.

I’ve heard some midwives won’t see you until 8 weeks or later so maybe get a phone call this week but it’s not ideal or very professional you should have been informed.

Thanks Rebekah, I'm more annoyed re the midwife situation because as far as she knows I am now 11 weeks. It's only the recent scan that has put me back which they have no idea about. Anyway I'll get in contact this week for a booking app, thanks for taking the time to write back xox
