Signs that labour is coming soon?

Hi all.
I'm 38+1 weeks pregnant.. the past 3 days I have been losing a lot of jelly (mucus plug) and have been having some sharp scratching on my cervix now and then. I have had a couple of BHs, but nothing major.

What are the signs that labour is coming soon? Would love to hear you're experience. Thanks

I'm just placemarking because I'd like to hear the answers to this. I'm 37+2 and I've had a little bit of discharge (not sure if it's mucus or not). No BHs though. This is my second but I was induced with DD so labour didn't start naturally.

There aren't really any. It's hard enough sometimes to be sure whether it's started or not. You can't tell when labour is likely to start unless you're already dilating in examinations, and you can only really be sure labour is actually underway once contractions are unmistakable.
