First time poster, long time lurker so here goes.

I'm around 8 weeks pregnant. I had a small amount of spotting last Saturday which settled but yesterday afternoon and today I'm spotting every time I go to the loo. It's mostly brown but has been red on a couple of occasions. I took a HPT this morning using 3rd wee of the day and it is a very strong positive, the test line is darker than the control line. I have no pain as such by my stomach feels funny. I have a private scan booked for Sunday but I feel like I'm going crazy.

This is my 4th pregnancy. My first ended in stillbirth at 39 weeks and I have gone on to have 2 children who are now 6 and 7. Feeling very fed up and low.

I’m so sorry to hear you are feeling low! And I am so sorry for your loss! That must have been just awful. Flowers

I would call your local early pregnancy unit! Spotting is often nothing to worry about, particularly with no cramping, but just in case give them a ring and they should see you! Especially if it’s red blood.

Good luck! I really hope it’s all OK!

Hi toni

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had same symptoms (red and brown blood) at around 8 weeks pregnant with my now 22 month old DS.

I called the midwifery service and they saw me later that day for an ultrasound to check all was OK, if that is an option were you live (rather than waiting until your private scan)?

Phone gp or epu or wait till the scan on Sunday (which maybe the earlier than you will get a scan anyway).

Spotting may be nothing or an indication something is wrong. Every ones experience will be diffrerent.

I've bled in both pregnancies. One was a miscarriage and the other is so far fine (36 weeks). There's no way of knowing at this stage and nothing you can do. Please call EPU.
