Took extacy in 2ww

Hello. I took extacy at my work xmas party 7d P.O. I took a pregnancy test 9dpo and to my shock I am pregnant.

I have been trying for a second child for a year and didn’t Think It would happen.

This is the first time I have even been drunk in years let alone taking a class a drug.

And now I am freaking out..

Has anybody had the same thing happen? Could anyone reassure me?

It will be fine. Please dont panic.
Out of a lot of the things someone could take, its probably one of the least toxic ones. Its not ideal, but also at that stage of pregnancy, there is no placenta so it wouldnt have taken anything in from your body.

A LOT of people go on benders before they realise they are pregnant. You arent the first. Be kind to yourself. It will be ok x

The placenta isn’t formed until you are 5 weeks pregnant so it will more than likely be ok. As pp said ecstasy, whilst it gets a huge amount of press, is one of the safest (and IME enjoyable) drugs out there when taken sensibly.

I can’t believe I am pregnant!!! I also dislocated my knee on Saturday and was lying for hours in agony in freezing cold waiting for ambulance. I was dreading the xmas party with my limp so I stupidly thought to hell with it and took an E... this baby has had quite a rocky entrance into the world ...

it’s always the way! 3 days before I got my bfp with my now 5 year old I had drank half a litre of gin amongst other stuff.... I drove myself mad, and ended up finding out about the placenta thing so I hope that reassures you a bit. My 5 year old is completely normal in every way x

Not me but one of my best friends went to Ibiza not realising she was pregnant with her now 5 year old, did a lot of the things that go on in Ibiza and her daughter is absolutely fine.

Not saying it's ok to go and get absolutely mangled when pregnant but now that you know just get yourself on the vitamins and look after yourself.
