I'm very early on in my pregnancy. I keep swinging from ridiculously excited, working out due date, thinking about names, wondering what they'll be like...to being paralysed with fear that something will go wrong.

I think the trigger to my anxiety is the fact I don't feel pregnant at all. By this stage with my first I was already being sick. I don't have one single pregnancy symptom this time round (other than a missed period).

But even the excitable mood is bloody annoying - I have loads of deadlines and I'm getting absolutely sod all done

I've read some people saying "put it to the back of your mind till after the scan" etc. That sounds like bliss. HOW???

You could go for an early scan if that helps.

Otherwise, I’ve been trying not to take on too much as I can feel my brain is a mess.

Thanks for replying @JoJoSM2

I can't understand why my brain is so scrambled. I can't focus on anything Confused

Wondering about whether a scan will help. If we see a heartbeat, are the odds on that things will be ok?

Totally empathise, I'm exactly the same. Had mmc at 7 weeks, D&c at 11w. Nervous this time round, had an early scan at 8+4 and all was well. I'm 11 weeks now and I'm back to anxious again as symptoms calmed down and it's always at the back of my mind "am I still pregnant?" Then at other times im looking at clots, working out maternity leave.... But still nervous about telling anyone... Almost like I need to wait until 20 weeks to be sure... It's a horrible limbo feeling. Sorry can't help but you're not alone xx

Cots* not clots!
