I had some brown spotting this morning, called my epu and have appointment for Friday and they asked if I had done a pg test (I'm not sure now if she meant blood or urine), anyway I did a hpt one this am and was suprised that it was a strong positive as assumed that I am having a miscarriage. Now I'm confused because I know you can still get positives after mc but it leaves me some hope. Feeling a little morning sickness too, although my symptoms have been very weak this time around.
I have some mild period type pains, still have sore boobs so I am confused. I know no-one can tell me the answer on here, but it's so hard waiting and not knowing what is going on!

I wouldn't continue to do pregnancy tests. They will remain positive for a while after a MC and it's not helpful to you. Get yourself to the EPU for a scan and you'll know for sure either way. Many of us on here have had spotting and bleeding throughout pregnancy and it turned out to be fine - do try not to worry.

Hi Holly, I had brown spotting around the same time and had an early scan at EPU. All was fine. Generally brown is old blood and the sonographer said to me at the time, around 5-7 weeks it's common to have old blood left over from implantation, even if you didn't have an implantation bleed. The baby could be burying deeper into the uterus which can cause old blood to come out. Please try not to stress and just rest as much as you can before your scan.
I had my 12 week scan yesterday and have a healthy active baby in there :)

Thanks. I'm trying not to worry and it's nice to hear positive stories. I wont do any more tests now. I really thought it'd be negative and then I would have known.
I have my appointment Friday so keeping everything crossed . Congrats on your scan PJs!

I've had everything from spotting to bleed heavy for weeks with both my pregnanies. It doesn't always mean the worst.

3 weeks ago i was 100 percent convince i had a mc.
Yesterday as tests kept coming up possitive i was giving a scan. Baby is 8 weeks 5 days now with a heartbeat.

Can you ask for a scan to see what is going on or 48 hourly bloods to check your hgc levels x
