Pain at 7 weeks

Hello

Panicked advice seeking here.... I'm just under 7 weeks pregnant and have been feeling really bloated the last couple of days... this evening the bloatings stopped and changed into a really bad stabbing pain low down on the left of my abdomen. I've just been to the toilet and noticed brown staining in my pants which I'm now really freaking out about.

I've suffered 2 miscarriages previously, one at 5wks5days and one at 5wks1day... I was so happy to have made it past that stage and now this is happening I'm freaking out. I'm not due to see the midwife until next week. We only found out on Friday night that we were expecting and I can't bear to have to tell him I'm loosing the baby already :(

Has anyone experienced similar (stabbing pains and spotting) and been okay?

Thanks xx

I had spotting around that time on and off until about 9 weeks and I'm now 13 weeks and all was well at my dating scan, however I haven't had pain, maybe the odd twinge here or there. Is this pain on-going or was it a random stab that quickly stopped? I would imagine if it was a short-lived thing there would be nothing to worry about but if it's continuing I would call my midwife/EPU/NHS 111 for advice as that would worry me.

Either way though, if you're ever worried about a symptom please don't be afraid to make contact with your midwife/EPU/NHS 111, even if they just say 'don't worry that's normal we don't need to see you', that's part of what they are there for. I called my EPU when I was about 7 or 8 weeks when I had some bright red blood and spoke to the on-call midwife who reassured me that I didn't need to come in and let me know what to look out for/when I would need to come in etc and that helped a lot otherwise I would have been endless worrying too.

Ectopic? How bad is the pain?

AvaRose87 · 12/12/2017 22:32

I spoke to the 111 service today who referred me to the out of hours doctor who has said that I need to contact my own doctor in the morning and be referred to the EPU... Just hoping that this pain subsides :/

You poor thing. Fingers crossed that everything's ok for you.

I had this at 5 weeks 6 days. Im now 7 weeks 2 days and haven't had anymore. I did go for an early scan where they saw a haematoma next to the sac.. i am back for another scan on Sunday to check this and also see if there is a heartbeat as a scan as early as mine was too early to see anything other than the yolk sac. Hope everything is ok for you x

Hello

Had a scan on Wednesday and baby was perfect, heartbeat was strong and I was dated at 7 weeks... my scan picked up a small blood clot underneath the pregnancy which they said they would monitor but weren't concerned about... the day after and today I've passed a small amount of blood so I'm hoping that it's just this blood clot being passed as they said I would either pass it or it would be absorbed back into my body.... had some crampy pains since then but touch wood nothing too bad xx
