I've been to the toilet tonight and when i wiped a streak of mucus fell onto my inner leg (sorry). It looked a lot like snot and was very stringy, no blood. Is it possible this could be my mucus plug or just part of my discharge? I haven't got any other signs that anythings wrong and babys kicking away, although she has been kicking very low down into my bits today.

Hi I had this... A midwife told me that some parts can come away sometimes but it can grow back so it doesn't always mean labour is imminent. It happened to me early on now 38 weeks and waiting for it all to kick off and no sign of plug.
Just keep an eye on things could just be discharge or nothing to worry about but just see and speak to someone if you are worried

I had that too about 23 weeks- all seems fine!

I had this a lot in my pregnancy, lots of discharge. I ended up wearing panty liners every days to stop my knickers getting soggy/mucky. Felt like I was sponsored by bodyform!

When my plug went (the night I gave birth) is was quite big. Big enough to be different from day to day discharge.

Any worries though and get yourself to the midwife/hospital. You know that though!!!!

I always had this throughout pregnancies and been told discharge is normal and the range of normal is massive! If it is a lot and accompanied with blood, cramps, or contractions then I would be concerned.
