Anterior placenta - did you show earlier

I have an anterior placenta and I'm already getting a little bump at 14 weeks. This seems early for a first pregnancy so I was wondering if anyone else had an AP and how this affected when you started to show. Thanks

I didn't show until i was around 6 1/2 to 7 months. Didn't feel movement much, if ever, as well.

Gizmo79 · 11/12/2017 13:04

I was another late shower. Still wore same size jeans throughout.

RidingMyBike · 11/12/2017 13:06

I was showing at 10-11 weeks and didn't have an anterior placenta. First pregnancy too.

Timeforanamochango · 11/12/2017 13:08

My bump is actually smaller this time with an anterior placenta than it was first time around.

I don’t feel any kicks at the front either, all my movement is felt at the sides or really low down inside, completely different to my first pregnancy with a back placenta.

Not shown early with either pregnancy so far. I think how early you show is more to do with your body shape/how strong your ab muscles are/how bloated you get.

Candyfloss1122 · 11/12/2017 13:13

I have been showing from very early, but this is my second baby (first anterior placenta)

olicat · 11/12/2017 13:39

I'm exactly the same, first baby, anterior placenta and started to show about the same time. I'm slim and have only put weight on as a bump, also my body is quite short so I think there it has to go out rather than up or down!

DaisyLand · 11/12/2017 14:18

I started around 18, or I could feel it.
Now 22 and people do notice it

Anterior placenta didn’t make me show early. I was told that I might not feel so many movements but I don’t think it effected it

Morecheeeeeeesegromit · 11/12/2017 14:33

I'm showing already at 14 weeks and it's my first, but I've had to come off my diet so it could be mainly food Blush

PandaCat · 11/12/2017 14:54

I had an anterior with my first and didn't properly show until 28-30weeks.

bonzo77 · 11/12/2017 14:57

2 anterior placentas (DS1 and DS2), 1 posterior (DS3). Not obviously visibly pregnant with any of them until around 26 weeks.

bonzo77 · 11/12/2017 14:58

Oh and 100% felt more movement though with the posterior placenta.

Ninjamilo · 11/12/2017 17:25

20 weeks here, anterior placenta and retroverted uterus.

At the moment I just look like I've eaten too many pies - only my friends have noticed my bump, to anyone else who doesn't know me, they wouldn't

Thanks all. Mixed bag of responses there.

19+6 and second Pregnancy, first anterior placenta and I'm not really showing yet! This pregnancy has been polar opposite from the last from the get go though!

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 12/12/2017 17:01

I feel I'm showing at 14 weeks (2nd pregnancy, 2nd anterior placenta). In both pregnancies though I "bumped" up pretty quickly. Was really hoping this placenta was anywhere but anterior because I could only really feel movements lying on my side last time.
