Feeling cold frequently in early pregnancy, is this normal?

I'm feeling so cold, most of the time and I'm really worried because I always feel like this before I get my period, I've also just googled it and read a couple of times that people had this when they miscarried.
I've miscarried before at 12 weeks and I'm terrified.

Is this normal or should I be worried?! Thanks in advance

I was absolutely freezing throughout the first two trimesters of my pregnancy thrn was cold but with really sweaty feet for the last few weeks Blush. Try not to worry about it although I know it's hard when everyone else seems to complain of being hot when pregnant. I think hormones just affect us all differently. Good luck with your pregnancy and try to avoid Dr Google!

I'm 12+5 and I've been fucking freezing almost constantly ever since I got my BFP I swear! Had dating scan on Friday and all seems to be fine. Try not to worry, everyone's different Flowers

Totally normal. Was absolutely freezing in my first trimester even with thick jumper and massive blanket. 17 weeks tomorrow and I’ve warmed up! Heard heartbeat last Tuesday and all seems to be well so far. Don’t worry, just wrap up warm and drink got chocolate!

I was cold for 14 weeks have warmed up now. Try not to worry, all the best.

Totally normal. Try a hot water bottle.

Try and remember that when people miscarry they look for all sorts of reasons or signs.

My first pregnancy was this time of year and I was absolutely freezing. When I (miss) miscarried at 11 weeks I thought that being cold had been a sign that something hadn’t been right all along.

This was reinforced when I got pregnant again (summer) and wasn’t cold at all during any stage of my successful pregnancy.

I’m now pregnant again and I’ve been absolutely baltic again. This time after worrying it was doomed again I’ve had my 12 week scan last week and everything is fine. I’m just pregnant in winter and it’s fucking cold!

Thank you all so much for your reassurance, it means a lot. Hopefully all will be fine, I just need to get that hot water bottle out!
@pastabest I literally could have written your post myself, except I'm not 12 weeks yet! It definitely doesn't help that it's freezing outside!
Thanks again Smile

Yeah I have two hot water bottles so I can keep them on rotation when I'm really cold Blush. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy Smile.

I’ve been cold this time - was pregnant a similar time of year last time but was warmer. Currently on sofa with a hoodie and blanket as well as the heating on

givemestrengthorgin · 11/12/2017 16:16

I had this in the first 12 weeks of both pregnancies. It's so bizarre and I don't know what causes it but I now have two beautiful healthy children so try not to worry.

FarAwayFromLand · 11/12/2017 17:19

I was really cold until 12wks, I'm now 20wks. I think it's just the extra work/effort your body is doing to grow a little baby using up energy!

I was freezing the week before I found out. It was end of June/early July! I thought I was coming down with something.
