Sores on tongue

I have woken up with loads of really painful blister type sores on my tongue. It's like I've burnt it in loads of places! I have read that it can happen if you lack iron. My last bloods came back slightly low so for the last 2 days I've been taking an iron supplement but it wasn't really low. Is there anything else it could be? So painful it's ridiculous!!

It could be just a virus, I had it the other month for a few days it was horrible. Swirling salt water in mouth eased the discomfort a little

I'm anemic and I've been really suffering with my tongue too! Don't have any suggestions what else it could be nor any solutions but just thought I'd share it's likely to be linked

Are they not just your basic mouth ulcers?

No not normal ulcers they are more like bobbly blisters. Like hard bits on top of the tongue but really painful! I'm hoping it is a virus and clears up quickly!!

May be vitamin B deficiency? I was told by a pharmacist my cracked corners of mouth was due to this. Try a broad spectrum B vit supplement. Bs are water soluble, so any excess will be flushed out in pee!
