Hi all

My waters went at about 2am this morning. Phoned triage who got me to come in to confirm and do observations then got sent home around 4am, when it had just started snowing with instructions to come back at 10pm for induction if nothing has progressed. I've had a few mild aches/pains/pressure but nothing significant and getting really worried about getting back to hospital later! We live about 3 miles from the away and there's now about 5cm(?) of snow on the roads with no let up due all day. What would you do in this situation? We only have a fiesta with no winter tyres (due to get them changed next week!!) Xmas Confused

Is there somewhere you can go closer for the day? I can understand not wanting to drive in bad conditions at night but maybe if its still ok around 2pm could you find yourself some entertainment and dinner closer and just wait it out until 10pm

Failing that just call the unit and see what they say? They might have had an induction cancel due to the weather or they might have an area (not a bed) that you can wait in?
