Scan help?

Is there anychance the scan can we wrong by 4 weeks?xx

4 weeks is always a huge difference , so I’m afraid it’s highly unlikely

I thought not I had a scan when I was 6 weeks so guessing the baby would of been alot bigger if I was further along x

Scans have a margin of error of + or - 7 days. They cannot be 4 weeks out.

bunnymay you seem to be experiencing terrible anxiety over this even though it's clear from your dates that the baby is your boyfriend's. I think you need to talk to someone about this IRL.

Could you speak to your midwife about it in confidence? You may need to be referred for support.

What are you anxious about specifically - your boyfriend finding out you slept with someone else on your break?

Just the dates? I'm just a natural worrier, I went into early labour last year with my baby at 29 weeks he sadly passed away 11 days after, I just feel awful and can't sleep or even look at him without crying x

It sounds as though you have an awful lot going on - sorry to hear about your loss.

On the scan date thing - I had scans at 7, 10 and 12 weeks. Size was very different but so was how the baby looked so I really don’t think they could be 4 weeks out. If it helps, the way mine looked was:

7 weeks - just a tiny bean, no defined features/limbs, looked like a kidney bean with a fluttery heart beat.

10 weeks - had arm and leg buds (kind of stumps) and a big head, wiggling around, looked a bit like Flubber

12 weeks - defined baby shape.

Yes same here I had a scan around the 1st of June and there was no hb so went back on the 10th of July and hb was present, so I'm guessing I'm just being silly if I conceived in April I would be alot further along, I've had around 8 scans already due to last year's complications so 8 can't be wrong 😂 xx
