Nesting..

Since I opened my eyes this morning all I’ve wanted to do is clean and tidy up. I’ve also been very emotional and cried 4 times already and it’s not even afternoon yet. I’m feeling different but can’t quite put my finger on what I mean to describe it to anyone.

How long before labour did you nest?

I can't tell if its nesting but I'm 35 weeks and I finished work last week, ever since then all I've wanted to do is make the house look nice. I've also cried a bunch including one day where I just cried all day until DH got home and comforted me Confused

I nested for the last two months if my pregnancy. I was like a mad woman possessed with my cleaning

Certainly the last several weeks - I stopped work at 36+5 or so and I cooked like a maniac (my version of nesting) from that point until i went into labour on my due date.

I also decided that I COULDN'T POSSIBLY bring a baby home into a house with dirty windows and booked a window cleaner for the first time in my life.

I think I nest, in a sense, for the whole thing. I lose interest in travel / going places (and I a say this as someone who moved internationally twice before my daughter was 2) and get very home-centred. I'm only 12 weeks this time and already part of me is fretting that there's "nothing" to do for DC2. (I know I need to get new mattresses, but it's far to early for that and the other odd little jobs!)
