Has morning sickness put you off more than just food?

Touch wood am past morning sickness phase now but it occurred to me earlier that along with probably a lifelong aversion to certain foods, I think I've been left with a fear of summer!

It used to be my favourite season but as that's when nausea started (not so much nausea actually as feeling poisoned and rotting!) just the idea of summer... I sort of dread it! Everything about us seems disgusting. There are also household objects I have had to throw away.

Has anyone else had the same and will I get over it?!

Yes. I couldn't shower as the smell of any soap or shampoo got me really sick. The feeling of water on my body. The heat, the cold, the sun, the night, certain rooms. It was senses overloaded

Hyperemesis has put me off pregnancy and life in general tbh Wink

@NerNerNerNerBATMAN yes. Exactly. I'm 35 weeks and still feel like utter shite. Cannot cope! I'm resigned to being sick until baby is born.

Yes, struggling through work with severe morning sickness severely dented my confidence in my abilities and contributed to my decision not to return to work. I also have emetophobia which I think began with the morning sickness. I can find it very difficult to function when a sickness bug is around at school for instance as I worry about it so much. I need to get this sorted out somehow but don't know where to start.

Yes, string chemicals. The smell of the dishwasher when it's clean makes me ill as do anti bacterial wipes.

I know what you mean . Summer morning sickness with my older son was wretched. The associations do fade over time though.

It's been gross and I'm only at 12 weeks. I can't deal with dirty dishes and my husband has had to do all the cooking. The sound of anybody brushing their teeth has made me feel really unwell. Totally off any greasy or fried foods along with tea and coffee. I think I'm driving DH mad and he is incredibly patient!

Prague. Im not joking.
I went on holiday there last time I was pregnant but I didnt actually know I was pregnant at the time. I was so so sick all the time and just thought I was really ill. It was a nightmare.

But now if I see any similar architecture or pictures of Prague I immediately feel repulsed. Its really bad because It was an interesting place. I hope it wears off one day so I can go back!
