Hey , I'm 36 weeks pregnant and today I was told by my midwife that baby is back to back! Did anyone else experience this ? Does it cause complications for the labour? Is there anything I can do to get her to move ? Thank you

Snap, I'm 36 weeks and have been told the same. Apparently it's fine but it's more painful in this position 😏

I've been told that to encourage the baby to turn I should get a birthing ball to sit on, don't lean back and spend a lot of time on all fours.

Both of my labours have been back to back.

I won't lie to you, it is painful but then again I have nothing else to compare it to.
Ds I had no epidural and dd I did, wonderful :)

You can go on the spinning babies website for exercises to try and turn baby.
My first was back labour and it’s very intense, I’ll say that much!
My second was back to back, I did the exercises and she turned in the end!

If you can use spinning babies and get baby to turn, do.

You'll manage it anyway, if baby stays back to back, but if you can avoid it I would

First baby was back to back and didn’t turn - took ages and forceps turned her. Was fine!
