Over the bump tights

Where have people purchased their tights from?

I am finding my regular tights quite uncomfortable on my bump, but can't find any decent over the bump maternity tights :(

Personally prefer h and m maternity - got some more expensive ones from jojo maman bebe and the elastic went almost immediately!

goldenslumbers1 · 07/12/2017 11:51

John Lewis! A bit pricey but wash really well and super comfortable

QueenAravisOfArchenland · 07/12/2017 11:54

I'm quite happy with the h&m ones.

monkey1978 · 07/12/2017 12:47

My mum bought me some from Boots, they were comfy, but she only got me 30 denier or something like that so I don't wear them much, but there were other deniers she said.

Asos 👍🏼

hmyh23 · 07/12/2017 13:38

I've found George at Asda fine for work etc and then got a couple of pairs of H&M as well. I live in dresses, skirts and tights In winter!

TonicAndTonic · 07/12/2017 13:39

Debenhams ones are ok and not crazy expensive

DaisyLand · 07/12/2017 13:45

Mothercare 2 for £15 i think

MummaTwinkleToes · 07/12/2017 14:01

Boots and mothercare, although I found the boots ones lost their elastic after a couple of washes and kept rolling down my bump.

ClaireBear1986 · 07/12/2017 14:08

I looked at the H&M ones, but they only seem available online and I am unsure of what their sizes are for tights as it does not say on the size guide.
Can anyone give any advice on sizes, as I do seem to vary between M and L in tights. Size 12, but long legs.

Thanks all :)

Marks and Spencer's maternity black tights! Amazing things and wash really well. Although £6 a pair (ouch). Tried loads of others and XL ones fit my long Legs and long body really well and stay up!

ClaireBear1986 · 07/12/2017 14:32

I heard a few good things about M&S maternity tights, but unfortunately I cant find any stores that stock them, and seem unable to get their website to work :(

I bought these in 100 denier and they are great. I followed their size guide and they got perfectly.

M&S maternity tights are amazing. Lived in them for DS1. Couldn’t find any recently with DS2.

I second ASOS but I went a size down as they came up large but I am short

rabbitsdontlayeggs · 07/12/2017 14:45

M&S or John Lewis. They were fab. I did buy some cheaper ones but after they rolled down my bump to my bum (once the top started rolling they shot down so fast 😂) in Tesco forcing me to waddle like a fat duck to the toilets to yank them back up again I stuck to the slightly more expensive ones!

anon9 · 07/12/2017 16:09

I am a size 12 and got over the bump tights from next in medium. They fit really well and don't fall down. £9 a pair but am definitely getting my moneys worth as I wear them all the time! And they do next day delivery :)

inuinnit · 07/12/2017 17:17

These are great: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AQZVTN6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8

So expensive but better than every other pair I bought and have washed well and not torn. I bought a range of other cheaper ones but found them noticeably less comfy and good at staying up around the bump.

Winenight · 08/12/2017 09:23

I always wear the M&S Autograph velvet touch tights- they cost a fortune but are really comfy, last for ages and wash really well. The elastic is really comfy.

I didn't bother with maternity tights- just went up from a medium to large as they're pretty roomy over my bump and they've seen me right through to 36 weeks with space to grow!

Ishouldreallybeworkingg · 08/12/2017 09:29

Mothercare.

I got a high denier and they feel really good quality.

Manctart · 08/12/2017 11:16

I'm currently wearing H&M ones for the first time which I think feel a bit thin but my god they are so comfy! I am going to wear them as normal tights when not pregnant 😂 I'm a size 10 and got small and they seem to fit ok. I don't really have much of a bump yet though so may have to get bigger ones later on.

Bellamuerte · 08/12/2017 17:33

Flesh coloured maternity tights are really hard to come by! I got some from H&M which were great.

MulderitsmeX · 08/12/2017 19:44

Boots for me, 6 months and they're still going strong (i bought 3 pairs).

Also until about 18 weeks I just cut a pair of normal boots ones and that worked well, washed them and they didn't ladder.
