Hi Frances. I'm a newbie myself and still early days so I'm not out buying yet. I've been reading up though to prepare myself and I know that the TT closer to nature bttles got the Prima best buy.

Have just bought the TT ones for number 2 as they had a good review.

Used Avent the first time round - I was combining formula in the Avent bottles and breast with no problem.

I love Dr Brown bottles. They are fairly expensive, but when a baby has wind issues, these are a godsend.

I used avent with Jessica and had a nightmare, with Rebecca someone reccomended Dr Browns when she was 3 weeks old and we were struggling with wind again, and overnight she was a different baby.

Just my POV though x

i tried dr browns and they didn't do anything. instead we got colic bottles from sainsburys and munchkin bottles from mothercare - great stuff!

Not a fan of Dr Browns either, they didn't seem to do much. I used Chicco pysiological as did a friend of mine at the same time, they were good and always seem to be on offer in Boots.

I used Avent for DD1, Dr Browns for DD2 and they really helped her wind. I am using TT Closer to Nature for DS at the moment and he is fine with them - would recommend them!

closer to natural tt bottles especially if you b/feed and?or have to mix

lulumama · 20/04/2007 13:19

Hi frances

my sister started off BF, then mixfed using the TT closer to nature and found them to be excellent

i would also say, make a note of the breastfeeding support in your area, through La Leche League, NCT, ABM and any breast feeding clinics offered by your HV etc..

often a little bit of support can make all the difference with BF
