As some of you may know due to my previous posts that im having some pregnancy complications and waiting for some amniocentisis results coming back. Im constantly worried i will lose my baby. Im due for another scan next wed along with the paediatric surgeon but that feels ages away. Can i request a reassurance scan in the meantime?

The NHS don't really do reassurance scans. You could pay for one though.

If there isn't a medical need, no. But you can book a private scan. I've had two private scans (one in each of my last two pregnancies) and I found them very reassuring and absolutely worth the small cost.

There are usually vouchers of Groupon. My scan was £39.
