Hi everyone, I've seen loads of threads about pregnancies due Jan, Feb, April, Summer Babies etc but none for March... apologies if there already is one, but couldn't find it.

I'm due 17 March 2018 and so far have had a good pregnancy. Actually really pleased with my due date as have the whole spring and "summer" to get out and about with my pram walking with my wee one 😊 and by the time the festivities are over it will fly in hopefully 🤞

Teabagfreak...there are videos on YouTube you can watch which show how the next to me cribs work which will help you decide :)

teabagfreak · 07/12/2017 06:10

Thanks @Sassy306 I will definitely check these out.

Teabag the next to me is very helpful. Both my sils have had had one in the last year and said it's a godsend so I've also bought the next to me for mine. Also a friend is using the sleepyhead deluxe and has used for both her little ones so she highly recommends.
In terms of noses basket I picked up a brand new one from Clearance Bargain for £5! It's a clair de lune one with mattress and lining and hood and ill be keeping it at my mums as she lives 2 roads away.
I'm going to get the sleepyhead deluxe for my home instead to keep downstairs, will be getting a few vouchers at baby shower so I'll use them to pay towards it. Plus u can pick it up and pop it into the cot or the next to me with out waking baby too

BunsOfAnarchy · 07/12/2017 17:29

Teabag they don't attach to bed but u put it up against bed and zip down/open down so it's like baby is lying next to you.
I've bought the more expensive one solely because my sil said the zip down one kept getting zip stuck during night feed and the open down one was way easier to pop down so she could flip out her boob and let baby have milk without having to get up and our of bed and faffing around

Hello ladies,

Just to let you know there is another March 18 thread on the Becoming A Parent (Ante Natal Club) talk boards, there is a lot of us on there and we also have a Facebook group too Smile

Pinky333777 · 07/12/2017 20:12

We've limited space. Small midterraced house, two bedrooms, but one is my OH's office, so baby doesn't have his own room or anything 😆
Hoping to move house at some point. There's one our landlord is refurbing we're viewing Jan/feb once it's ready, but I'm not in a huge rush. As long as we've got something bigger within a year. Until then baby will be sleeping in our room.
In a box 😄
I got one of those baby boxes from the babyboxuniversity. That and the carry cot from the Pram will do to begin with.
Mother in law said she'll buy us a cot in Jan, but it'll be too big initially anyway, so will prob put the baby box in there.

I decided to throw a baby shower and made a baby registry list.
Sooo glad I did. It was to help give friends/family ideas for gifts but also as a check list for me.
It helped with not doubling up on items too.
We've had so much bought for us by our wonderful friends and family...
The buggy, a pushchair shed (we've no room indoors!), bouncer, breastpump, bottles, steriliser, wardrobe, monitor, baby carrier, clothes and toys.
I've only got to get bits and bobs really.
I took advantage of those bounty packs and Emma's diary ones, so we've a few nappies etc to start us off. I need to sort through them.
My mum is desperate to buy more stuff (first grandbaby) so I said we'd go shopping in the new year 😊
The main things I want to get organised are the forms for child benefit, and tax credits, so they can get sent off as soon as baby arrives. I plan to tie up all the loose ends in feb when I start maternity leave x

teabagfreak · 07/12/2017 20:22

@Pinky333777 I've sent away for my baby box, I'm in Scotland and it looks brilliant all the stuff you get.. can't wait till it comes to get a nosey through it all. I haven't even thought about getting child tax credit or anything sorted, I suppose will need to act quick though with it coming up to the end of financial year..

@mrskitty15 thanks for the heads up on the post, I couldn't find one before (prob looking in the wrong place lol) @Ishouldreallybeworkingg has posted the link below - thanks for this. I had a nosey but seemed like everyone was mid convo and didn't want to butt in lol 😊

@teabagfreak I am sure you wouldn’t be butting in. If you do want to pop over just feel free to say hello. Everyone is very friendly and supportive, there is about 80 of us in the secret Facebook group Smile

thaigreencurry82 · 07/12/2017 21:58

@pinky333777 @teabagfreak I did baby box university as well and am waiting for my box to arrive any day now.

I haven’t got much so far at all just some romper suits. Mum and dad are getting lots for Christmas as first grandbaby too. I don’t feel behind there is loads of time left. I also want a side sleeper and will prob have her in my room for a year. She doesn’t have her own nursery.

I’m not sure about a pram - I am in London and don’t drive so the thought of negotiating tube and bus fills me with dread so I am going to get a baby wearing device like a carrier or a sling.

Pinky333777 · 08/12/2017 06:44

@thairgreencurry82
I can sympathise as a public transport user myself. Although this is my first baby, I've travelled for years and years by bus with little ones as a nanny.
I know the London transport system isn't quite the same as transport in the midlands (10times busier!) but are you sure about using the carrier rather than a pushchair?
Just because if I imagine myself using the tube with a carrier I get images of people pushing into me and squashing baby, or worry what if I trip and fall and land on baby?
Prob silly worries, I'm sure many many people travel this was perfectly safely with babies, but I'd personally go for the biggest baddest buggy I could find.
People have to move out of the way of a buggy, or they get ran over 😆
The bus might be easier than the tube with a carrier.
Good luck! Just find the tough inner ruthless Mummy in you, you'll be fine 😀
I'm going to be travelling a lot by bus and I'm sure I will pee a lot of people off by expecting them to make space for me in the pushchair area 😆😆😆

CinnamonAndSpice · 08/12/2017 08:41

7th here. 2nd school for each of us literally
Everything bar formula is purchased ( a back up in case BF fails). Inc cot for when older, age 6m toys and up to 3-6m clothes lol
I've gone mad and got so much but I can't resist lol..
Dp thinks she'll come a few days early?

BunsOfAnarchy · 14/12/2017 19:24

Ladies anyone booked their NCT classes?

PandaCat · 14/12/2017 20:27

I didn't with my first, won't be this time either

Potteryprincess30 · 14/12/2017 22:07

I'm due on the 7th of March, a baby girl. @Shehz21 get the snuzpod, its fantastic. I picked one up on gumtree and my best friend has just had a baby and is using one too

lizsparkles · 14/12/2017 23:01

Fantastic. All the best and congratulations in advance!!

teabagfreak · 15/12/2017 07:23

I have made a few decisions over the last day or two. I have decided to get Chicco next to me cot and Baby Bjorn bouncer. That's another two things checked off my list.

I really wish that you could hire baby planners like wedding planners but for babies lol.

So much to get and decisions to make 😳 it's really overwhelming at times when I sit and think of everything I need

OP posts:
PandaCat · 15/12/2017 08:18

It is overwhelming isn't it! Everything was bought for us with our first, we didn't really choose anything.

This time the choice is all ours, the thing I'm struggling the most is with the bath. Do I get a seat or baby bath? We lived somewhere where we had no bath with DD1 so we had a baby bath! But currently our bathroom is tiny and bathing a newborn in the bath would be awkward! I don't like to bath, I prefer showers, so I won't be getting in with either. Idk what to do Grin

Shehz21 · 15/12/2017 09:54

@PandaCat After seeing it's popularity on other threads and reading loads of reviews about it,I decided to go for the shnuggle bath! And it's only £19! Can't wait to receive it and use it on my baby girlXmas Grin

teabagfreak It's great you have been able to settle on a crib! I am still debating with myself about the Chicco crib and now I have my heart torn between the Chicco Next2Me and the Tutti Bambini. I will be going into my third trimester in less than 2 weeks' time and I only have clothes sorted out so far Xmas Sad

Shehz21 · 15/12/2017 09:55

@Potteryprincess30 I did like the snuzpod a lot before but it seems narrower than the Chicco & the Tutti Bambini and I have heard it's quite heavy to actually carry around with a baby in itConfused
Difficult difficult decisions to make.... lol.

Potteryprincess30 · 15/12/2017 12:14

@Shehz21 I was worried about tripping over the feet of the Chico as they stick out. I think your adviced to 'bungie' both to the bed anyway to be certain to avoid the baby slipping down the gap between the crib and the bed. I think this is unlikely and depends on what kind of bed you have but my friend and myself have found it easy to do this with the snuzpod.
The Chico does look more spacious though Smile

Potteryprincess30 · 15/12/2017 12:20

I'm confused about the carrying bit, I thought they were are supposed to stationary by the bed for baby to sleep in? I like the weight as it's sturdy and area below the snuzpod for muslins and nappies ect will be useful

Potteryprincess30 · 15/12/2017 12:23

Oh my @Shehz21 that tutti bambini is lush! I'd never seen that one before...crib envy!

Potteryprincess30 · 15/12/2017 12:27

@PandaCat baby seats for the bath are brilliant

Jennibelly · 05/01/2018 12:31

Hi all! I am new here. Due March 2nd with a girl. I don't know anyone else due in March so looked for your thread.

We have got lots of stuff and clothes that we have been given as hand me downs as our friends are finished with babies now, and our pushchair arrived at the start of the week after we bought it online in the sale. We are in Scotland so I will be getting the baby box too, can't wait to get it!

I only have 4 weeks left at work now, looking forward to finishing and really organising all the baby stuff properly as it is just all in bags in the spare room at the minute.

teabagfreak · 10/01/2018 04:33
