In your first pregnancy, how many weeks were you before you felt your baby move? I'm 15 today and am wondering whether I might start to feel anything soon!

I'm sure it was after 20 weeks. 2nd pregnancy I've been feeling movement at around 15/16 weeks and first kick that DH could feel by 18 weeks.

About 15 weeks, I think. But it felt more like a goldfish flopping or tiny bubbles than a baby.

I felt movement quite high up too, which I think was her tugging on the placenta.

My friend felt hers move at 16wks, but my other friend didn't until about 21.

So, it really does vary.

I felt mine when I was about 22 weeks, this was due to my placenta being at the front, when I went to the midwife appointment they warned me that this could result in me not feeling the baby move as much or struggle to feel anything at all!

About 18 weeks.

About 19 weeks with my first and about 16 weeks this time. It's all very exciting isn't it? Once I realised I was feeling movement I realised that it had been happening for a little while! I thought it was just wind. Grin

I'm 18 weeks with my first and I've been feeling movements since just before 15 weeks, like PP said it's just like a goldfish flopping about in there!

EastDulwichWife · 04/12/2017 15:03

Thanks everyone! Size and Moo I can definitely feel a similar sensation and your posts really made me laugh. I've been trying to work out if it was just the feeling of stretching, but it definitely feels like little flops! Crackles I heard that the second was easier to feel (or at least easier to recognise?) so it must be true! It is so exciting.

Flutter around 16. Movement nothing yet(21+5). Anterior placenta doesn’t help with movements :)

Day after my 20 week scan!

I felt a popping candy feeling really early - like 14 weeks! - but I was super skinny as I had lost half a stone through morning sickness.

Proper kicks were more like 18 weeks I think.

Wow Pickled - that must have felt so surreal?! So lovely, I really can't wait to feel movements more definitely. These are all making me so excited!
