Just wondering, I have an innie and it's starting to disappear the bigger I get, wondering at what stage does it pop out to an outie? Does this happen in all pregnancies? Also does it return to normal afterwards? Just a random thought....

Mine never fully popped out, just went totally flat. It's gone back in now, DD is 5 weeks old.

I'm cringing thinking about it already 🙈 Belly buttons gross me out! Just another thing in my body that's going to change lol.

Mine popped out pretty early on, it's kind of gone back in again now but not completely (I gave birth 3 weeks ago).

Monkeypuzzle32 · 01/12/2017 20:46

mine is still an innie at 37 weeks-I'm kind of disappointed!

skankingpiglet · 01/12/2017 20:59

With DC1 it popped out sometime in the 3rd tri, and much sooner with DC2. It was never a full 'out-y', more of a ski jump.
After each child was born it went back in fairly quickly (a week or two?), but left a cavernous hole for some months after. I could have lost a whole hobnob in there. It took much longer after DC2 to return to it's (almost) previous shape compared to after DC1.

HeyMicky · 01/12/2017 21:02

My innie never popped for either DDs. Yours may not either

spydie · 01/12/2017 21:07

My innie was sticking out by 5 1/2 months with DD Hmm but have always been quite lean and had very toned stomach muscles back then. It hasn't gone back to how it was before and is a semi now...cant make it's mind up! I expect it will pop out even earlier this time Blush

glow1984 · 01/12/2017 22:17

Mine popped out. DP and I used to play with it all the time lol

MummyBearToOne1988 · 01/12/2017 22:27

35+4 and still an innie. Never popped out with DC1.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 01/12/2017 22:42

40+2 here and I no longer have a belly button, its completely flat and has been since about 32 wks. It's also gone numb. It's weird. If it wasn't for a small mole in the centre I'd no longer be able to locate it. It went through a very painful stage where I actually thought it might split but an industrial amount of bio oil seems to have saved the day!

millsbynight · 01/12/2017 23:00

35+5 and my innie is almost flush to the skin but not quite. Also, no linea nigra and no stretch marks. Although there’s still time for the stretch marks to appear!

CinnamonAndSpice · 02/12/2017 01:09

I was wondering the same. Mines still similar as it's always been. And I'm 26 weeks but this eve I have the weirdest sensation like there's a direct pressure right at the button. But don't feel the same as when the baby is directly pushing on belly. I'm wondering if it's going to pop out soon lol x
Belly buttons cringe me out too lol

hollowtree · 02/12/2017 01:14

I was exactly the same as bobbie

Soon2bemum2017 · 02/12/2017 01:15

Mine never popped infact i was still wearing a metal belly bar when i gave birth!

guest477337 · 02/12/2017 01:41

My popped out when I was standing from sound 36vweeks. It also depended on how the baby was laying.

It's back to normal now and DS is nearly 2 weeks old.

AutumnLeavesandCandleLights · 02/12/2017 09:50

I had an innie all the way through my first pregnancy. Now 35 weeks with my second baby and still have an innie!

Foggymist · 02/12/2017 11:47

Two pregnancies, never stopped being an innie. Got shallow, but never more than that.

Mrstobe90 · 02/12/2017 21:48

I’ve always had a really deep innie and I’m 29 weeks now and it’s still an innie but barely lol. Give it a few more weeks and it’ll probably be an outie

PandaCat · 03/12/2017 21:39

Mine never popped out with my first. It disappeared completely instead!
