I've suffered with IBS for 13 years. I've worked out that my episodes are triggered by stress and processed foods etc.

I'm coming up to 18 weeks pregnant with my third baby. During my last two pregnancies my IBS got loads worse. When I was having contractions with DS2 I thought it was my IBS, it wasn't until I was connected to a monitor that I realised it was labour pains!! (I was being induced at the time)

I went to bed last night with the worst IBS pain I have EVER EVER had. It was crippling pain, all over my lower abdomen. I couldn't even roll over in bed, couldn't move at all. I eventually got to sleep in the early hours. Thankfully it is LOADS better this morning.

Is anyone else suffering at the moment? Any good tips??

My IBS was really bad about the same stage of pg as the OP. I did see the GP (but later coz we were away on hols when it was at its worst) and you can take something to ease it (I forget what) that you can get on prescription.

My IBS is a million times BETTER and I am 35 weeks PG. I think my c-section last time around brought on my IBS (I don't suffer constipation though as a rule)
