Dry Heaving/retching at everything!

I have been really lucky with my pregnancy and not had sickness just tiredness! However I am now 20 weeks and something that does seem to be getting worse is dry heaving or retching! It seems to come on for any reason the slightest smell, or even the f I cough and sometimes through stress!
Has anyone else experienced this?
Anyone got any ideas that can help it?
I feel like a bit of a failur Mum at the moment as I have a 2 year old who I am starting to try and potty train but I'm not managing very well because retching at the slightest thing!

Hi- I use ginger shots (juice drink) from Waitrose several times a day and then cheddars - helps a bit along with travel sickness bracelets
