15 weeks and prone to stretch marks. Wondering when they started to show during your pregnancy...

I got mine in the last 4 weeks just at the front under my belly button think it was the last main weight gain!

This time however I'm definitely bigger so am expecting more 👎🏻

AnonEvent · 28/11/2017 21:29

The last bastard minute!

I was so pleased that I hadn't got any. I was proud of my skin for stretching with me (my teenage ones had only just faded enough to be unnoticeable)... and THEN... I caught sight of the underside of my bump in a full length mirror at around 37 weeks.

I was fucking riddled with them. Big, angry, red and furious. Some almost a cm wide.

In good news I'm still so fat (13 months later) that I actually have to angle a mirror under my tummy to see them.

What will be, will be. Rub in the oil, hope for the best, you may well find you don't really care either way if you get any.

DozyDoates · 28/11/2017 21:31

I didn't get any with DC1 but he arrived over three weeks early. With DC2 it was right at the end, maybe around 37/38 weeks, she arrived at 39 weeks on the dot.

peanutbutter310 · 28/11/2017 21:33

Thought I'd gotten away with it. Then one week after delivery, there the buggers were Angry

Notsooriginalwerther · 28/11/2017 21:37

Congratulations! AnonEvent eugh same here! None throughout and then at 38 weeks putting on my oil and felt little ridges ran down to dp like LOOK UNDERNEATH ME AND BE HONEST... yep stretch marks... turned around to walk upstairs after thanking him for the honest answer and he shouted ‘babe you’ve got them on your arse!’ HAHA! But 7 months down the line moisturing every morning and night they’ve turned into silver lines! They do get better OP they won’t always look angry and red it just takes time, stay on top of moisturising and look after yourself :)

TriHard27 · 28/11/2017 21:38

Last two / three weeks of pregnancy. Bloody typical.Grin

TeddyIsaHe · 28/11/2017 21:39

I got one right above my belly button the day I went into labour. Was so annoyed as I thought I’d completely got away with it!

I’m also very prone to stretch marks, so they’re not always inevitable on the bump.

MoonlightMedicine · 28/11/2017 21:42

I got mine during labour.

pastabest · 28/11/2017 21:43

I didn't get any from pregnancy. Not a tiny single one. My belly button never 'popped' either.

Have loads on my thighs though from pre pregnancy.

turquoise88 · 28/11/2017 21:49

Me neither. One of the lucky ones Grin

SonicBoomBoom · 28/11/2017 21:51

Never. And I went right to 42 weeks (and one day).

AccrualIntentions · 28/11/2017 21:54

I didn't get any. Probably because my stomach is already covered in them from previous weight gain and loss so it's already been stretched out!

AutumnLeavesandCandleLights · 28/11/2017 22:11

My stomach erupted in them about 3 days after my c section. The entire pregnancy I only managed to get one! Thought I was one of the lucky ones, but noooope, they was apparently just waiting for my baby to leave my body before making an appearance!

mehhh · 28/11/2017 22:27

I didn't get any which surprised me until I had literally just given birth - I was totally in another world looking down at my belly and noticed a few near my belly button

I was so lazy with bio oil too towards the end ,,, but I always have and did whilst pregnant moisturise with a thick moisturiser not sure if this helped (im an obsessive moisturiser I don't know how I developed it)

Kittysparks1 · 29/11/2017 07:30

I bio oiled and belly buttered every day without fail.

I am prone to stretch marks. My calfs and boobs are covered from puberty.

I didn't get a single one during my pregnancy. Don't ask me how i fluked that one. My boobs however, are now just empty sacks that hang round my belly button. My baby came at 37 weeks so maybe I would have got them had he of hung on in there.

woollyjumperseason · 29/11/2017 15:02

I got some above my belly button right at the end didn't notice till after baby was born. Got more on my boobs though when my milk came in about 4/5 days later when i was engorged and had mastitis

happydays00 · 29/11/2017 15:26

None when I was pregnant. About 5 appeared on my right thigh 1 week after giving birth Hmm

MuseumGardens · 29/11/2017 15:26

34 weeks

ijustwannadance · 29/11/2017 15:35

Last couple of weeks when baby dropped. I had none on belly until then but loads on thighs and bum.

Choccyhobnob · 29/11/2017 16:13

None at all despite going to 41 weeks. Got loads on my inner thighs from puberty and lots of really faint ones on my bum (I think from pregnancy) but I can only notice them in the mirror if there's really good light, don't know when I got them as only realised about a year after birth haha

Sarahh2014 · 29/11/2017 16:18

Right in the last month I thought I'd got away with it

DeltaG · 29/11/2017 16:28

Uh-oh, this thread doesn't fill me with hope! I didn't get any with my first baby (born at term) and am 34 weeks with second, currently. I haven't got any so far yet either, but reading the responses that for many people it was in the last few weeks or even after the birth isn't encouraging! I was easing off on the Trofolastin cream but I think I'll ramp it back up again now.

RatRolyPoly · 29/11/2017 16:38

Kittysparks I was the same as you; stretchmarks on hips and calves from puberty so I baby-oiled my bump like crazy and baby came at 37 weeks - no stretch marks!

Pregnancy number two I totally couldn't be arsed rubbing stuff onto my bump with a toddler to chase about. Did the full 40 weeks of pregnancy this time too, but STILL NO STRETCH MARKS!

I feel a right jammy git Grin

NC1990 · 29/11/2017 17:58

I didn't get any at all, just shows you it's all genetics as I was incredibly lazy with the bio oil (applied twice a week if that!).

Tattybogle89 · 29/11/2017 20:13

On my due date with first

Around 30weeks with second and much worse even though bump is no bigger. Weird and definitely genetics
