Bellybutton issues - whats normal?

Have just been rubbing palmers coco butter onto my bump and noticed that my belly button area looks bruised and blueish. I am 33 wks - bellybutton is still an innie - actually by now more of a flatty - but seems to have a blue ring around it. Does anyone else have this?
You know how your veins are all blue and showing through skin too ... I ASSUME that is normal and not just me.... do you think that the see through skin / veins and bruised bellybutton are related?

Hi Pedal, I seem to have got brown pigments around mine- the same colour as the line that goes down my abdomen! No idea what it is but maybe you are right with it being a vein, especially as everything is now so stretched and tight!

Thanks Princess. ((Sigh)) will my body ever be mine again? I feel like a host organ.

Tell me about it. Baby things just take over your whole body! Never mind- it'll be worth it in the end! 7 weeks to go for you- how are you finding it? I'm 27 weeks so 13 for me. Seems so near yet so far...!!

Yes your body will be yours again but it will be like a house you've loaned to students for 9 months - completely trashed and covered in sick and with a big drop in market value

yes belly button normal

pmsl @ MP! classic reply!

LOL I love that analogy, MP.
So far so good - but bump starting to get irritating now as it is in the way of everything I try to do. Apparently 32 / 33 weeks you start getting grumpy but it passes! I'm sure DH will be glad to hear that.
can't stop staring at my bellybutton though - it does not look natural!
