I realise this sounds totally naive but I'm 28 weeks pregnant and just experienced my nipple leaking for the first time, I totally wasn't expecting this and hadn't even thought about this happening not that I thought it would until much further on!

I'm almost tempted to ask "is this normal?" Even though I know it is but this is my first pregnancy and has made me feel a bit funny and overwhelmed almost like it's really just sunk in what's happening to my body (again I know how ridiculous this may sound be kind please)

I guess the point of this post is what now? It was very little and only from one side , will this happen more with larger amounts? Do I need to use anything for this? I think this has just been a huge reality check for me ...

Oh god I sound so so silly , go easy!Blush

Don't worry! I think it is normal.

I'd take it as a good sign. I never leaked during pregnancy and now my supply is only just enough for baby.

You could buy a box of the lansinoh breast pads, or to save money in the long run buy some reusable breast pads. The bamboo ones (just search on Amazon) are nice and it'll save you money especially as you're in for the long haul with this now!

Thank you! Will get on and order some of those , I'm trying to think positive was just totally taken aback and honestly a bit scared! These hormones certainly aren't helping lol!Grin

This is completely normal :)

I’m 28 weeks as well and I started leaking at 18 weeks lol.
It will get a bit more but not much. Put breast pads in your bra in the day and then put some in a sports bra at night. (or put a small towel under your top. I do this most nights tbh)

I’ve found that I leak more at night so the towel thing is great lol

I've leaked since about 26 weeks and did with my last pregnancy too. I'm just over 37 weeks now and have to wear pads all the time as I leak through my clothes. I've started collecting it in syringes and have a good stash in the freezer already for when baby arrives.
