Anyone else tired of their midwife telling them to take paracetamol for EVERYTHING

I've had a few hiccups in my pregnancy and each time I've rang up to speak to the midwives they have told me to take paracetamol their answer for everything is to take paracetamol I had to go to the doctors to get taken seriously!

You should be careful with paracetamol. It's not an innocent medicine.

That's the only thing you can take painkiller wise when pregnant.

I agree with Expecting- there’s nothing else you can take. And our midwifes are under such huge pressure and stress I think they really have to deal with the most important ladies on a case by case basis. I would take it as a good sign that I was being told to take it, I’d rather that than being rushed in to hospital. I do know what you mean though OP, but our NHS is just squeezed so tight there’s little resources left x
