Hi lovely ladies,

Just wondering if your craving anything in particular is so what is it?
Also is the myth true sweet things it will be a girl salty foods a boy?

First time round I was craving chocolate and I had a girl!
This time round prefer salty food especially crisps. 😍
You thoughts on this would be interesting! ☺️

Never heard of this but with ds I craved celery and salt. With dd I craved chocolate muffins

userabcname · 27/11/2017 11:21

No, I craved sugary things and had a boy.

ShowOfHands · 27/11/2017 11:26

The myth is just that. No basis at all. What you crave can be linked to maternal health but is not related to the baby's genitals.

I craved milk and olives.

bruffin · 27/11/2017 11:28

Peanut butter both dc, boy and girl.

QueenAravisOfArchenland · 27/11/2017 11:30

No. It's a myth, a fairly obvious one based on blatant stereotypes.

I have craved both sweet and salty things in all my pregnancies and have yet to give birth to a hermaphrodite.

Vanannabananna · 27/11/2017 11:32

Crazed salt and vinegar Pringle a by the pallet load both times. Boy first time, girl this!

CL1982 · 27/11/2017 11:43

I have both sweet and savery which veer from week to week :)

I think most of the old wives tales are rubbish but they're fun too!

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 27/11/2017 12:06

I craved milkshake and ice cream & had a boy.

Expectingbsbunumber2 · 27/11/2017 12:09

I think the old wives tales are a lot of rubbish. With my girl I craved milk! Now with my second a boy it's been strawberry milk and ice lollies.

MyKidAreTakingMySanity · 27/11/2017 12:09

I craved pickled onions for all three.

I have 2 DDs and a DS.

OR.... was it cravings or my excuse to eat loads of Haywards silverskins because I really love them..? hmmm.

mindutopia · 27/11/2017 12:12

I didn't have any cravings with my first (a girl) though I did survive on fruit and milk in 1st tri because it was the only thing I could stomach. I wasn't craving it though. This time around the only thing I craved was sour things (lemons, tangy sweets). I'm having a boy.

sacgonflable · 27/11/2017 12:14

I was obsessed with cold sour things- pickles, cut up oranges. and pic n mix. had a boy.

YummyMummy247 · 27/11/2017 12:22

That's crazy. I think it's mad how your body craves food. I have had nausea through first tri get a bit now but not as bad but not really been eating junk food.?
Tbh I am now getting heart burn/indigestion so I find by the night I don't want to eat after 8.30 as don't want to make it worse.
Only thing is by the time I'm going to bed I'm retching trying to be sick think it's because I'm hungry.. With me I think it's eat food little and often! Which is easier said then done especially in work- I'm a nursery nurse so never stop! 😂

I craved sweet stuff in my first pregnancy - specifically fresh cream cakes, pancakes with syrup, fruit and nut chocolate, crunchy nut conrflakes and ice cold milk. It was difficult to stay healthy and I put on a shit load of weight Shock. I had a boy.

Craved nothing at all with DC2 as had hyperemesis. Girl.

I'm pretty sure its all bollocks, OP Grin
