Symptom loss + previous miscarriage at 11 weeks. Panicking!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow and have been suffering with horrific sickness and nausea since week five. I’ve been on ondansetron to control the vomiting but even on that I’ve felt weak and nauseous all day.

BUT, in the last two days I’ve felt so much better. Nausea down to a 2, at most. Eating and drinking like normal. Going to bed feeling ok, for a change! Amazing, right?!

Wrong. In April this year I had a miscarriage at exactly 11 weeks, so obviously I’ve convinced myself that another is imminent. Just wondering if anyone else started feeling ok after 11 weeks or if I should be worrying at all.

I had several points between about 8 and 20 weeks where my symptoms suddenly disappeared for 2-3 days, I panicked and then felt silly when they returned with a vengeance! I totally empathise with the worry, but hopefully all is ok. Have you got a 12 week scan soon?

It's very common for nausea to reduce significantly or stop at this point because this is exactly when the placenta kicks in and starts doing most of supporting the foetus. It often returns for a brief "reunion tour" between 12 and 14 weeks before (if you're lucky) buggering off for good.

Honestly there's a high chance everything's fine. You're very close to your scan now which will give you reassurance.

All my symptoms went at 11 weeks

My nausea significantly improved at 9 weeks this time round. Having had two previous losses before this pregnancy I was in the exact same position you are now and was freaking out. It turns out, all was fine. I'm now 20+3 and all still seems to be fine! Unless you get any significant cramping and bleeding, please try and not worry (I know that's almost impossible after you've experienced a loss but an improvement in symptoms isn't a sign anything is wrong). I really wish you all the best x

My symptoms disappeared completely at 11 weeks. Baby was fine at the 12 week scan, it was measuring a week ahead actually. I'll be 15 weeks on Tuesday.

OP i have had the same as you, had a MMC at 11 weeks where symptoms literally stopped overnight...I knew something was
wrong and it was and I was heartbroken...

...fast forward to now, symptoms stopped dead at 10 weeks, I was absolutely certain history had repeated itself, plus I had a bleed too...went to scan and baby was fine and now I'm 23+1

Pregnancy after loss is harder than I ever thought possible but I had convinced myself something bad had happened, but it was fine. But everything, the sickness, tiredness and just general malaise went overnight...and came back 2 weeks later haha xx
