Good pregnancy books for dads?

I'm looking to get my husband a book about pregnancy for Xmas. Hopefully something directed at men so he can feel a bit more involved and probably a bit comical so he doesn't lose interest! Has anyone got any ideas?

There are couple of light-hearted ones like Pregnancy Sucks For Men, if you think he'd be more likely to read it. Theres a hilarious parenting book written by Matt Coyne called Dummy which would be good too.

"Pregnancy For Men" is great. It's sensible, informative and witty.

I browsed in the bookshop and found a few books that were frankly offensive - they were written as if the man reading was a complete idiot and/or horrified at the thought of becoming a father (well if he was horrified he wouldn't be reading a book about it would be?!) and the shit "jokes" were all based on that and/or on taking the piss out of the poor "crazy hormonal" pregnant girlfriend. Sexist crap IMO.

So just a word of warning to have a skim read before you buy!

DH and I both like commando Dad. Written by an ex marine who became a SAHD.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I was planning on just ordering one off Amazon but might go into a store to get a feel for it first if they can be quite sexist/stupid - I don't think either of us would appreciate that!

"Pregnancy for Men" was so good that I read it myself too! But yeah definitely worth checking the others before buying.

Does he actually want a book about pregnancy? My husband is pretty non-traditional and feminist and I honestly can't imagine him wanting to read a book about pregnancy. What about a parenting book? I imagine that would be much more interesting and useful in the long term. He'll be a parent forever, but you'll only be pregnant a few months. Most guys I know will happily just google if they have a question. Just a suggestion.

I second Pregnancy for Men! I've even read it and it's thoughtful and funny! My boyfriend enjoys binge reading it every now and then.

Massively recommend The Expectant Dad's Survival Guide: Everything You Need to Know https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0091929792/
My DH isn't much of a reader but found this great, really informative but light hearted etc. He also had a new dads book, about the first year.

My husband really enjoyed reading The expectant dad's survival guide too. He used to read it on his commute and then tell me when he got home what he had read about and we found it a really good way to have him involved in the pregnancy early on.

Another vote for Commando Dad. It’s more focused on after the birth though, rather than pregnancy.
