...in response to legitimate pregnancy fears, what have you heard?

My favourite is "oh is it your first baby" (yes, but we're worried because doctors have raised cause for concern - or have they been influenced by the fact that it's our first?)

I know people are trying to help but it seems so dismissive!

Unfortunately on my notes it says that I have suffered from anxiety. during pregnancy. Went to the doctors because I was struggling to breathe and they totally dismissed it as panic attacks. Didn't matter how many times I told them that it wasn't in any way related to how I was feeling mentally and it could come on at any time.

Turns out I have asthma triggered by pregnancy.

'Oh it's just the baby sitting on a nerve!'

Said to me a million times when trying to explain the symptoms of what turned out to be SPD. I could barely walk, DH had to carry me to the loo in the middle of the night and had to roll me over in bed because the pain was so bad I couldn't do it myself!
