What can I do for my birthday while pregnant?!

It’s my birthday in a few weeks and me and my partner usually go away somewhere for our birthdays his being April we went to Liverpool earlier this year (we love the cavern and have a few drinks nice food etc). He keeps asking me what I want to do for my birthday and I’m stumped! I don’t fancy Liverpool again as he’ll be sat drinking and I’ll seem like a party pooper! I was thinking a nice spa and overnight stay but almost every one I look at you have to wait to be 3 months to have treatments! I will be 12 weeks on the 19th but we were planning to be away 12-14th. Any ideas? Flowers

If you go away to a city, you could do things like go to the theatre/opera/ballet, have a nice lunch or dinner or do some other activity or workshop together, eg pottery, chocolate making etc. Today, for DH birthday we went ice skating amongst other things although I’d only do that in pregnancy if you’re a confident skater as not to risk an injury.
You could also go for a nice hike in the countryside + a pub lunch etc

Spa was annoying when pregnant because to be on the safe side it's best to avoid the hot tub, sauna etc.

I had a nice afternoon tea when I was heavily pregnant.

Jojo has good suggestions, it's all about food and culture! I would go for a nice meal and a show or concert (seated not standing tickets)

I would save the spa for a bit later on as most will want you to be 12 weeks+, but frankly you could also just lie, as a week won't make much difference either way. Also, realistically, will you both enjoy the spa? I love it, but my dh would be a bit bored. Why not just pick a different city and go away? You don't have to go out for a big drunken night out to have a nice time. I do love some wine, but we've had loads of lovely nights out when I wasn't drinking when I was pregnant. It's still just nice to have some time alone and good to do something now while you still feel active enough to be on your feet wandering around a city. You could see a film, a show, whatever. Or stay home and have some friends over or meet up for dinner out with them. These things will be nearly impossible once baby arrives, so make the most of them now while you can.

We stayed in a log cabin just outside York when I was eight weeks, it was lovely, we just lazed around, had some lovely meals and pottered about York doing things like the York dungeon. Doesn't have to be a spa weekend, for us it was just nice to do a weekend away :)

Thankyou for all your suggestions!! I was thinking of going to york anyway we did that last year and enjoyed it and also enjoyed the log cabin the year before! Thank you xx
