White spots on nipples

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I've just noticed whilst in the bath that the little bumps (which I've always had) on the areola of my nipples have little white heads on them. I say white but they are a bit yellowy. They look like whitehead spots and can be squeezed but the most minuscule amount comes out.

My boobs haven't grown much and I've had no sight of any milk yet.

Does anyone know if this is normal?

Normal, that tiny bit of stuff coming out will be milk (colostrum?) Stop squeezing, your nipples need to be treated kindly!

I had this, totally normal, I looked it up as I was worried and if I remember correctly the liquid is some form of natural antibacterial.

It IS your milk you wally!

Milk doesn't come out of your areolas. It's the Montgomery glands, producing lubricant that will keeps your nipples soft and supple while you're feeding very frequently in the early days.

Any yellowish liquid coming from the nipple itself is colostrum - but as a pp said, don't deliberately express that just yet, as nipple stimulation can cause early labour. But feel free to express some to stash for when baby is born from about 37 weeks pregnant.
