Maternity clothes in Harrogate?

Hi everyone!

I'm 12+5 and can't fit into my work trousers comfortably anymore, so thought it was about time to start shopping! I live in Harrogate and don't want to travel too far with it being Black Friday weekend (leeds and York will be heaving!). I just have no idea where to look...
I know there's JoJo mamabebe, but the bigger stores in Harrogate all say they don't stock maternity (m&s, Debenhams etc). Any ideas???
Thank you Grin

Does harrogate have an H&M? I found them the best for high street stock.

Tbh I shop in the centre of Newcastle and there is probably only 3 shops that stock maternity. Everything is online

It’s been a while since I have brought maternity wear! But M&S did a great maternity capsule wardrobe very suitable for work, I think it was a pair of trousers, skirt, top and cardigan, but very smart looking, I wore and wore those items. I can understand that going into town may be a pain with the lead upto Xmas, could you order online? Good luck OP I hope you find some comfy clothes soon.

Hi, Matalan online of you have no local store?!They're cheap so you don't have to spend too much on clothes you won't wear a lot. I got acouple of pairs of cash over the bump jeans from there. Got my work maternity over the bump black pants from asda- best fit and quality i'd found unlike a lot of dearer places and they actually covered my bump properly. They looks the most slimming too (very important when pregnant as I already felt huge enough.) Got acouple pairs of black maternity tights from boots and they were lovely and thick and high quality; best maternity tights I'd tried as they didn't fall down and I highly recommend them. Just got a normal black stretchy pencil skater skirt from river island it was only about £10 and stretched with me through the whole pregnancy; so comfy and smart at same time! It looked really smart for work with the tights and black shoes/smart boots. Tops I just bought in bigger sizes and some of them stretchy so I got to wear when not pregnant. Found maternity ones always looked abit frumpy and old fashioned and cost a bomb.

Oh I didn't bother with maternity knickers either and just got grannies panties in gigantic size from m & s; so comfy.

The m&s don't stock maternity at the mo and H&M closed down recently unfortunately.
Forgot about matalan! We've got one of those in knaresborough. Not sure if they stock maternity, but worth a try. Thanks everyone Smile

Mothercare? I think I brought mat jeans and a few tops and nightwear there.

tootsieglitterballs · 25/11/2017 09:31

@Bubble04 flutterlily do maternity wear - some Preloved, some new.

The only other place is really Jojo I’m afraid! I ventured through to york and still had no luck.

If you are on mumbler, there is usually lots being sold (some new)

But other than that, we are pretty stuck in our area apart from online!

Check new look too though as they do sometimes have bits in.

Bella8 · 25/11/2017 09:58

Next do good quality winter coats for reasonable price with removable panel that zips out so you can wear again when not pregnant...

fruitpastille · 25/11/2017 10:01

H&M shut down?!!! I am traumatised!
Next online probably best bet.
Leeds may have more eg Gap.

Bella8 · 25/11/2017 10:07

fruitpastille What about h and m??? You mean own branch or the whole store? Shock I flaming well love next and next kids as well!!

tootsieglitterballs · 25/11/2017 14:58

@Bella8 just the Harrogate branch has closed down of H&M , nearest Now is Leeds or york. One of h&ms in york does have mat stuff (monks cross) but only a tiny selection!

Bella8 · 25/11/2017 19:51

tootsieglitterballs Thank god for that haha I love h & m; I was only in there yesterday getting some bits for DS with extra Black Friday discount Smile
