I’m 6 weeks and been spotting on and off since 14dpo. My hcg levels rised from 88 to over 4000 in 7days which was faster than W.E expected an ultrasound showed 5 week sac and yolk. Back in a few days to hopefully see a 6 and a half week baby and heart beat however spotting again with cramps!!! It all began immediately after sex this time. Any ideas why? Didn’t happen in my last pregnancy

Have you sought advice as to whether you should be having sex? I know ladies whose pregnancies aren’t straightforward are often advised not to have it. I’d probably ask when you go for your next scan and not dtd in the meantime if it gives you cramps and spotting.

@Nikki2ol6 I've had spotting a few times that have lasted a few days. Most of these came after sex though some didn't. Mine was always brown blood is yours? From what I've read sex can cause bleeding because the cervix is sensitive and also if you orgasm, the cervix contracting can push old blood out.

I've had an early scan, an emergency scan and yesterday my 12 week scan at 13+2 and everything is fine. It's hard not to worry but spotting isn't necessarily bad news.

I did mention it at my last scan and she said not to worry some people do bleed after sex. And she didn’t say oh well don’t do it. But we have had sex a few times too and nothing has happened afterwards and once I spotted and We had not had sex
