Currently about 8 weeks pregnant and have had a letter giving me two appointments

One is for when im 10 weeks at a local birthing unit

The other is my 16 week appointment and is at my doctors

Will they book my scan at the first appointment or do i have to wait till 16 weeks?

No they will book your scan at your first appointment. They sometimes do these first appointments outside of GP surgery as they can take an hour or so to go through your medical history, take bloods, give you information on screening etc.
The 16week appointment will be a shorter appointment with your midwife....its nice they have booked this for you ....in my area you have to book in for it yourself.

Depends where you live. I'm central London and my scan letter came from the hospital and was completely separate to my antenatal appointments which were local to me (although not at doctors!)

My midwife arranged my first scan for me at my booking in appointment, I got a letter sent out.
