5 more weeks. I can't do this! 😭

Oh my. I haven't got 5 more weeks left in me. 34 weeks and having a c section at 39, but sweet Jesus I'm tired. My son is 3 next month and seems to be developing the terrible two's quite late. My back is just about ready to give way under the pressure of my gigantic baby (measures 5lb 2oz at 32 week scan). I have another scan on Monday to check her growth, if my back is hurting now, it's gunna be so much worse in 5 weeks when she's even bigger. I have developed Carpal Tunnel syndrome like I did with my son and I can hardly move my hands for at least half an hour in the mornings and it's painful throughout the day.
Sorry for the moan. Anyone else struggling?

Oh @StylishDuck that must he awful. I only started my 2 year old a few weeks ago and thankfully seems to have taken to it quite well. Hopefully it's just a phase she is going through for you

36 wks here, cs booked 13th Dec. So fed up now too!! Back hurts, pelvis is even worse. Heartburn is AWFUL!! and I can't sleep! This baby is big, been having growth scans and he is measuring big. My last was 9lb 13 so not expecting a small one. I think his size is contributing to the back/pelvic pain!!

Gotta keep pushing through though, not much longer!!

NooNooHead1981 · 24/11/2017 14:33

Good luck OP! You will be ok - as PP have said, enjoy the peace and rest for the next few weeks! Your baby will be a good size and hopefully not too big - unlike my DD who was 11.5 and half lbs born two weeks overdue! Not one medical professional figured out she was so huge... which was seriously mad! Hmm

PizzaPizzaPizza · 24/11/2017 14:43

I really hope the last few weeks go quickly for you OP!

I feel like I have ages left. No, wait.. I do have ages left 😭 24 weeks with twins, 4th and 5th babies and I feel worse than I did when I was over due with my singletons right now. Bring on February for induction!

Can I join for a moan? Having a bad day. 36 weeks csection booked for 13th of December. I think I’ve torn a muscle at the top of my bump so I’m in agony when I move, heartburn is so bad it’s making me wretch, and I just cant stop being really grumpy and horrible to the kids (2.5 & 5) and it’s making their behaviour worse!
Plus I have no food in the house and can’t really afford a take away.
my house is a bloody mess and I have 10 5 year olds coming for a party tomorrow!

Bella8 · 24/11/2017 22:03

fishfingerSarnies that sounds like total chaos poor you...I so could not be bothered with the party when you're feeling poor. I hope you have lots of help for it as running around after ten 5 year olds will be tough! Just think one week today you'll be on the same month you get to meet your baby! Hope that makes your wait seen shorted for you....Flowers

Oh not long guys. It's so hard.

@fishfingerSarnies I know what you mean about being grumpy. I had a cry to my husband last night. My son is really testing his limits at the moment and my hormones do not like it which is probably making him worse.

Hope you feel better TheEdgeOfGlory266
I only have 1 dc who is 9 month old and have found it a real struggle so I can't even imagine being pregnant with another child to look after in top of going to work. I worked full time mon-fri ,when I was pregnant with DS and had a long commute and it was exhausting and that was without another child to look after not to mention the throwing up half way to work; was a nightmare. Shock
Are you having to go to work as well?
DH wants us to try for number 2 when DS turns 1 but I'm Undecided!!

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 25/11/2017 21:52

@Bella8 I've just gone on mat leave from working full time. I left at the earliest opportunity and in actual fact, I had been signed off for a long time before that. Absolutely hated my work but the maternity pay is extremely good and you don't have to pay it back at the end if you decide to leave - which is what I intend to do. I stuck it out after going back there after having my son because we knew we wanted another but it took us so long to get pregnant.
I like the 3 year age gap I will have with my. It means I won't have two in nappies and my little boy can do a lot for himself but it's not too big of an age gap. We wanted 2-3 years, so perfect for us. Defo only start if you're ready. I was adamant for about 6 months after having my son that I would never do it again...

I don't blame you for not going back; you're doing the best job of all right now in taking care of your little one. I'm on 12 month maternity currently but unable to return to work as we have no child care and going back part time and paying for child care wouldn't be worth my while; also too far to travel now so situation wouldn't work. I also hated my work similarly to you so I'm not disappointed about not returning. Unfortunately I haven't been paid anything from work as I would have owed it all back and tax on top so I stopped the payments before they started. I will see how things go but I may decide to get a part time job closer to home sometime next year if I can't hack it as a SAHM that long. How have you found staying at home? Has it been okay? I have no idea what I'm going to do but just know I can't go back and can't leave my little one any time soon. I'm abit worried about losing skills and value in the workplace as I've been told if I'm off too long it's harder to find the same level of work.
I am thinking however if I do have a second one it would be nice to not be working through it like during my last pregnancy. We'll see though I'm only 9 months post partum so still time to decide what to do.
