Hi, my partner as recently started his new job it’s been 3 weeks, I’m due a baby In 3 month will he still have the right to take paternity leave? They say they don’t
Know, as he’s on 6 months trial thing, As I also have a 2 year old as well so could really due with him being able to have to it 😫

No he won't be entitled to paternity leave/ pay. Could he take unpaid leave?

To be fair, it's not much and it's probably just sensible for him to put away some savings each week and take unpaid leave. My dh is self-employed, so he doesn't get SPP. We've saved some money over the months so he can take off two full weeks and then will go back part-time for a few weeks to cover the school run until I'm fully back on my feet. It is possible, but it just means some planning.
