Hi, Im new to all this. Had a check to see if waters had gone today and it was noted that cervix is closed etc. I remember being dilated with my others really early on but there is a ten year gap, I'm hoping this isn't meaning I'm weeks away still, anyone had experience with this and subsequent babies, I was super shocked as feel so much going on down there and when baby stretches it actually felt like things were moving. I was at risk if early labour at 30 weeks as was lising lits of my plug and high heartrate but it seems it was linked to my thyroid ...but thats another story 😏

Try not to worry. One of my favourite sayings 'your cervix is not a crystal ball!' In other words, whatever is going on now has no relevance to what will happen in the future.

Thanks lumpyspacecow, I really think with this pregnancy I have known too much, whether its just being older, or just a bit of added anxiety as have had problems getting my thyroid sorted so seem to be reading into everything rather than taking each day as it comes, which is my normal approach. Anyway, thinking i'll go christmas shopping tomorrow and make a few plans as feeling pretty bored since going on maternity leave.

Making plans is a sure fire way to get labour going! I'm pregnant with my 4th as well - I have a section booked but am constantly thinking (secretly hoping) I'm in labour! I just want baby out now and to know that they are safe!
Good luck with everything xx
