I’m pregnant with DC2 and am struggling a little and need to focus on some self care, what do you ladies do for self care? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Whenever DH is Home I basically hand the children over. I’m pregnant with DC4 (I’m not making this a competition, I promise), but I’ve learnt it’s really important to say “no, I can’t do that right now. I need to sit down alone for 10 minutes/go to the supermarket alone/whatever”.

Do what you need to make life easier. We’ve massively reduced the amount of truly fresh home cooked food we eat because I just can’t cook from fresh every day. It won’t hurt anyone in the short or long term.

I agree with PP, currently pregnant with number 3 and you just need to learn to be honest and say you need a time out to yourself. I usually pop them on the iPads or Xbox, with some books or leave them doing something whilst I go and do my own thing. I used to feel guilty but now it’s just a normal thing. I can’t stay glued to them every day after all, they’re their own person as am I. I buy gousto meals which saves time prepping ingredients and searching recipes, if they’re hungry they know where the fridge and cupboards are!
