What pram???

Need some advice... so many to choose from 😱
I like the idea of having one that the car seat attaches too but again no idea if it’s worth it.
Maybe one that has lots of different attachments so it will last?? Am I wasting money spending a lot?
What pram are you guys buying??

Icandy Orange. Nothing compared for me as it has so many combinations and I love the big basket underneath as well as how easy to put down and store when not in use.

BigBaboonBum · 22/11/2017 20:53

We’re getting the Bugaboo cameleon 3, fits car seat also

Bellamuerte · 22/11/2017 21:10

I haven't bothered to get a car seat that fits on the pushchair chassis. Hate to see babies being pushed around shops all scrunched up in car seats - they're not supposed to be in car seats for more than two hours max because it can strain the spine and restrict breathing. Car seat cot death has been known to happen. Much better to use the car seat for travel only, then transfer baby to a lie-flat pram which meets safe sleeping guidelines.

BigBaboonBum · 22/11/2017 21:13

@Bellamuerte I think if they’re squished up that much then they need a bigger car seat! I found having one that attaches to the Pram was invaluable when I was popping to the shops, I could take the seat out without waking baby and put them back in on the way out still asleep if I was lucky!
I don’t think many people use them instead of a Pram, hence why there are different tops for them, but being able to attach to a car seat is a massive time and sanity saver I’ve found

JustSaying99 · 22/11/2017 21:16

Another one with the silver cross wayfarer: excellent pram, so easy to manoeuvre, folds down easily and very lightweight! Fits easily in my boot too! We have the maxicosy pebble car seat and just bought the adapters.

NoParticularPattern · 22/11/2017 21:17

We are similar to you OP. We’ve got the Jane Crosswalk travel system but we haven’t gone for the lie flat car seat. I tried one out in a shop and it was just so heavy I could see it being a complete nightmare eventually. Plus it takes up tonnes of room in the back of the car when in lie flat position. If you have a look on their website they have a sale on at the moment- can get chassis, carrycot, pram seat and car seat for under £600.

Baby carrier wise we have gone for the Ergobaby Omni 360. I got 10% off on some site that sells them (natural baby shower possibly?) but ergobaby have a sale on their adapt carrier at the moment I believe so do have a look.

glasshalfsomething · 22/11/2017 21:20

I got the silver cross pioneer; very similar to the wayfarer mentioned above. Bought the full package from a local store who offered a better deal than everywhere else (including John Lewis). DD seems to love it - sleeps well in both the pram and the seat (laid flat).

mintich · 22/11/2017 21:34

Silver cross pioneer and I wouldn't change it

Roxx1516 · 22/11/2017 21:37

Icandy peach 3 its the best, soo easy to use, easy to pack away, it's not heavy or large it's easy to clean and can be used from birth right upto about age 4, plus there's a good range of colours and they also adapt if you want to turn it into a double! I cannot fault it personally. Definitely have a look at the icandy range :)

Ameliablue · 22/11/2017 21:52

We've gone for a Graco. We had one for my elder 2 and lasted from birth to walking for both. It was versatile as easily folded for putting in boot, you could put a new born flat but also had the option of attaching car seat, without having to mess about changing attachments.

beltanelove · 22/11/2017 22:00

Check out some of the Out and About prams. They have an outlet online where reduced items can be purchased. Light weight but very capable for outdoors, tougher terrain

hotwater · 22/11/2017 22:07

I did so much research on this because I had no clue. After reading a million reviews we got the Baby Jogger City Mini GT with the deluxe bassinet for when baby is new. Haven’t started using it yet as LO is still to arrive but can’t wait to start.

QueenRefusenik · 22/11/2017 22:08

Whatever you get, just don't get it from toysrus. Bastards.

Chickpearocker · 22/11/2017 22:12

Uppababy vista

Mulch · 22/11/2017 22:16

Got a bugaboo chameleon 3, just love it can't recommend it enough

Ttbb · 22/11/2017 22:17

I would strongly reccomend silver cross wayfairer.

Hillbillyhotel · 22/11/2017 22:19

We got a Cosatto Giggle Travel System when my DS was born 2.5 years ago and he used it up until DD was born nine months ago,she has used all three elements,we've added a buggy board for DS and it's still absolutely brilliant! Collapses down really quickly, carseat attaches/detaches when used on the chassis (I think that's the right word Hmm ) and it's light! Only slight bugbear is that it has a bar handle rather than two ha does where you can hang shopping from but we bought a carrier clip from boots fot a couple of pounds and that works great!

Orangebird69 · 22/11/2017 22:25

Another vote for the Baby Jogger CMGT. Not the prettiest or the cheapest by any stretch of the imagination BUT the fold is genius. Carrycot and crseat compatible. The wheels are fabulous on all terrain (even the beach - I've taken mine on hols and managed quite well) and the seat is huge. It will almost definitely last until your child no longer needs a pushchair unless you have a super super tall baby. Second hand values hold too so you can always get some money back. I bought mine second hand for £220. Sold it 18mo later for £195.

Howaboutanotherusername · 22/11/2017 23:18

i’ve got a venicci travel system and it’s brilliant

scoutcat · 23/11/2017 07:16

We're thinking of getting the Cosatto Giggle 2 in the gorgeous Mothercare exclusive pattern. The car seat comes free in the Black Friday sale!

Ninjamilo · 23/11/2017 08:19

We're going for an icandy peach - spent hours taking every brand apart at the weekend and it was the easiest to use, and folds up small so will fit in our boot.

Also on the hunt for something super cheap though - we have a holiday booked when little one will be 6 months and I don't want an expensive pram chucked round the hold of a plane 🤣

mintich · 23/11/2017 10:37

I've got the silver cross zest for holidays

YouBetterWORK · 23/11/2017 11:22

Was in love with the Silver Cross Wayfarer for ages. Then switched to the Brompton. In the end went for neither, saw the Joolz range in John Lewis and got a Geo from eBay, with a load of stuff included for £475.

Haven't actually used yet (due Jan) but it looks very good for basket space and tyre durability and grip. Also came with the carseat converters so hoping to splash out a bit and get the maxi cosi Pebble Plus car seat to go with it Smile

Cagliostro · 23/11/2017 11:47

I have the cosatto giggle 2 and loving it so far! There was a mothercare offer with absolutely everything included (even car seat) for about £375, for a particular design. Baby is only 4 weeks though so early days!

teaortequila23 · 23/11/2017 11:51

I’ve had a few bugaboos they are great and if you look after them they hold much value so I resold them.
I love the babyzen yo-yo but my babies and little chubby so doubt it will fit them comfortably. This time I’m thinking of going for a icandy if your ok with buying second hand I defo would as you save quiet abit!
