TMI alert

This is definitely TMI for me but feel a bit embarrassed to ask what it could be. I'm 29 weeks pg and have always had a problem with both UTIs and thrush when pg. However I'm now having a watery/powdery discharge that smells quite musty or vinegary. I have spoken to midwife about it and she has done a swab and a urine sample but the tests won't be back for a couple of days. Any ideas??

Sorry, no idea, but please don't be embarrassed. Hormones etc can upset your normal discharge, and affect the balance of good bacteria down there. You've done the sensible thing by having it checked out. Hope you fell better soon.

Sorry no ideas, other than to echo the other post that hormones make strange things happen. I also have a tendancy for thrush when I'm pregnant - in fact with this pregnancy I dont think I've ever got rid of it. Anyway, I also asked the midwife to take a swab at my last appt as I started to worry that it may not be thrush.

Hope you get your answer soon...

Thank you for your comments. I should find out tomorrow if it is anything to be worried about. I'm just a bit worried that it might be another infection.
