Anyone not told their colleagues they are pregnant yet?

I am now 14 weeks and haven't told my colleagues yet.
My bosses know as I needed time off for appointments.
With my first I had told everyone as soon as I found out!
Not sure what to do this time.

One of my very close colleagues knew when I was very early on because I had some bleeding and needed someone to talk to. No one else knew until after my 12 week scan but my department knew I was ttc so it wasn't a surprise

I told my boss before my scan at about 8 weeks because I was feeling tired and needed to explain myself! Told my team at 13 weeks after my scan.

I am 8 weeks and am not telling although I told one close colleague who's also pregnant (she had confided in me a month or 2 ago before she told others). I have a great boss on one of my projects who's also a mum and will be supportive but have kept a lid on it till we know things are ok. It's an insanely long wait to go in for my first appointment - they didn't want to see me till 10 weeks. And then the scan I guess but I don't know when that will be. I think 12, same as UK but there are some differences here (US). I am not nauseated and so grateful for that but it's making me worried since I was very nauseated with DS.

I told work the day after i found out as I suffer from HG and knew within a fortnight I would be toilet hugging. They were great. Told my collegues too within a week. With HG you cannot hide you are pregnant well. And working in a bar and restaurant meant I had to change my role and food was a trigger to the sickness

I'm 6 weeks and I'm not planning on telling anyone at work, including manager, until I've had my 12 week scan. We've only told our parents and grandparents so I don't like to think that people who I work with would know before the baby's aunts & uncles, close friends etc.

That being said, it just depends on how the first trimester treats me and if I need to take excessive time off. I'm lucky that I can work from home when I want so I could do that on days where I feel particularly bad and for appointments!

My department and close friends know. I told them after my scan. My boss knew for time off for appointments before 12 weeks. I haven't told anyone else really, I guess they'll figure it out in time, or it'll come up in conversation? I'm almost 17 weeks with my second so I could start showing really early!

I’ve only told very close colleagues. Eg Those who need to know as we were planning things in the diary beyond my due date! And personal friends. I’m finding it very hard to tell others. It’s my second and I’ve had some mc between #1 and 2. I probably should as I got very dizzy last week.

I'm 17 wks. I told my boss at 12 weeks. really hate telling other people but I need to book training and meeting dates for next year and need to explain why I suddenly won't be available. I really don't like people asking me how the pregnancy is going as it just makes me anxious. If I could get away with not talking about it at work I would. Happy to chat about baby with friends and family as I like them!

Told my principal at a very early stage , rest of colleagues after 12 week scan. Would be very friendly with them. Am 19 weeks now and wearing big baggy jumpers to keep it hidden from the parents of the kids I teach as I have parent teacher meetings this week and I don’t fancy an interrogation about it

I never told my colleagues till I was 33 weeks . My bosses knew but I didn't want to tell my colleagues I was pregnant because they would have treat me like a China doll and I wanted to still take part in the activities and sports that came with my job . My gp said I could continue as I had been doing for years and pregnancy wouldn't hold me back . I was only told to avoid contact sports . I never really had a bump with all 4 kids till 35 weeks . My babies were all decent sizes ranging from 10lbs 3 oz to 8lb4 at the smallest . I was very lucky that I didn't have a huge tummy .

I'm 14 weeks and have looked 6 months pregnant since about 8 weeks. My supportive colleagues know, my departmental manager knows, my team leader does not. I don't fancy telling her because I don't want to hear any of the digs about pregnancy and child rearing again like with my first.

I know my team leader is hugely suspicious as she is interrogating my colleagues when I'm not around and they are telling me. However she isn't questioning me so I'm happy for now.

I had to tell work at 4 weeks due to the nature of my job! (Veterinary, v small practice!)

But I would of waited until after 12w scan if I could.

My bosses know only as I have HG and needed time off and a reduction to my working hours. I've not told my colleagues yet. I've said I have vertigo to cover the absences and the fact that I look green. I'm 11.5 weeks now and I'm planning to share the news more widely after Christmas (16 weeks). I want to tell my parents first in person which is why we are waiting (we live abroad so not seeing them until Christmas).

Ekphrasis sorry for your losses I have also had one mc before this pregnancy so deep down that's why am reluctant to tell anyone yet as it's painful to untell again.

muddleduck I completely relate to what you said. I can't bear all the focus on me and don't like talking about the baby unless its others babies then that's fine with me!

Gummy ha! you aren't alone! With my first pregnancy, I started showing the very next day I tested! It was all bloat which never went away. Sorry your team leader isn't very supportive.

As I didn't lose the weight from the mc no one can really tell am pregnant so maybe I can get away with it until our xmas dinner when I will be 18 weeks!

I had to tell my boss at 7wks because I needed alot of time off for appointments. My colleague who sits next to me knows as she got suspicious about my eating habits. I was training to be bodybuilder before I found out I was pg so not easy to hide the food changes. Another friend I told as I was struggling to not speak to anyone. OH wants to keep it a secret until 12wk scan. Scan is 3 days before Xmas so telling parents, family and close friends on Xmas day/boxing day!

I reckon more work colleagues will guess when I won't be drinking at the Christmas party on the 14th Dec. I'll be 10+6 at that point.

I managed to get past about 18 weeks before telling anyone as I was hoping to be put up for promotion and I didn't want any possible baby to affect the decision.
Luckily I never get very big when pregnant nor suffer any side effects so could physically hide it until then.

My immediate team knew from about 2 weeks in because I began vomitting 20 times a day and it only increased from there. I couldn't hide it, it was too relentless and they all kept trying to help me stop vomitting. I was signed off with HG From 6 weeks for the next 5 months.

The rest of the department found out when I was 5 months and showed up at our colleagues funeral with a gigantic bump.

First time round was at 13 weeks
Second and third pregnancy I waited until 26 weeks
The reason I waited so long was due to poor reaction to my pregnancy from management and my colleagues the first time, although it was difficult to hide it with baby no.3!

I’ve been telling a lot more yesterday and today. The bush telegraph clearly was ignited by someone I told yesterday as I think a couple of people knew already when I told them. Mind you, my stomach is quite noticeable!

Told my boss and colleagues at 13 weeks with DS (after my scan)... when number 2 comes along I want to try and hold out until 16/17 weeks if possible as I remember the first few weeks of my pregnancy with DS as such a special time with just me and DH knowing. He didn't fuss but looked after me so well and I just loved how uncomplicated it was... as soon as we told family/friends/work people were worrying, there were risk assessments, everyone kept talking about it and I kind of felt like it took away from it a bit!

I'm trying to get away with saying nothing until at least 20 weeks to colleagues, boss already knows, as am convinced there will be a problem and I'll have some hard decisions to make, I know from overhearing a conversation a few months ago they think miscarriage is no big deal (work mainly with women and discussion included one who was 7 months pregnant!) So would rather not be explaining whilst trying to cope.
