Advice about 12 week scan date

Hey,

Just looking for a bit of advice!

I got my BFP yesterday. I phoned the self referral number for the midwifes (in Scotland) and they have given me a date for my booking appt and my 12 week scan which is great. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is my BFP came after having what I thought was my period 2 weeks ago. They have used this period date as my LMP but surely this can't be right if I've got strong positives on tests already? just a bit worried because the scan isn't until Jan 25th so if my LMP was actually in October that would make me further along and then I wouldn't be able to get the screening tests. I don't know whether to try and change the date?

I would express your concerns to your midwife and see if she can get you on a earlier scan date or even an early reassurance scan! Fingers cross for you xxxx

Thank you! Don't want to seem pushy but I feel like it would put my mind at ease. The woman on the phone didn't really seem to be listening to what I was trying to say today but I think I need to be a bit more assertive x
