Has anyone else been hit by this food poisoning/sickness bug that seems to be doing the rounds at the moment?

I picked up something really nasty on Thursday and had vomiting and diarrhoea for 18 hours. Have never ever been that sick before in my life - don't know if it was worse because of pregnancy. We panicked a bit when I started passing quite a lot of blood - horrible moment when I thought it was the baby - but when we phoned the hospital they said that bleeding was common with food poisoning.

Really worried that the baby will have been affected but he\she seems to be fine and is still kicking away!

Typically we'd just been for my 21-wk scan the day before and everything was fine!

The midwife didn't seem too worried - as long as I could eventually start to keep fluids down and keep hydrated.

Don't know whether to get checked out or not Feel ok now just exhausted!!

Anyone else been through the same thing?

You poor thing! I've heard loads of people have had this sounds really nasty, I've avoided it so far.
Sounds like the baby is doing great, I would phone the midwife and get her to check you over, just to put your mind at rest.
