BFP today but period 2 weeks ago!

Hi,

Just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this. I just got my bfp today (still in shock but very happy!) but I'm a bit confused as I had my period 2 weeks ago. I've done some googling and now I'm worrying it's ectopic. Has this happened to anyone else and it been fine? I only tested because my boobs were sore and I've had stomach and lower back cramps (not too painful, just like af cramps).

I only came off the pill in September so I don't know if it's just my body being a bit out of wack! I did a CB digital and it said 1-2 weeks so I'm not further on than I think so the period must have been a real one.

Was your period characteristically what it's normally like? I know that's prob hard to answer if you've been on the pill as that may have affected the flow but two of my friends had what they were periods but it wasn't it was the baby implanting. I always thought implantation bleeding was short and light like spotting but they have both explained it as like a period just abit lighter. Maybe your alittle further ahead than you think. Why don't you try a clear blue with conception indicator, They aren't the most accurate tests but they might help give you an idea. Congratulations :) xx

Thanks for replying Smile I did do a CB indicator and it said 1-2 weeks so I don't think I'm further along. My period was quite light and only last 3 days but that's not really abnormal for me. I'm not too sure what to think but just feeling quite scared incase it is ectopic. I'm not experiencing a lot of pain so hopefully not.

If CB indicator says 1-2 weeks that means itvwas 1-2 weeks since conception so you are classed as 3-4 weeks pregnant. The 'period' you had could not have been a real period, unless you mean your period finished 2 weeks ago, in which case there is a possibility that you ovulated very early in your cycle straight after your period.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/11/2017 20:29

Even if your period finished 2 weeks ago it would still be mega early to get a bfp. I'm with Jupiter it most likely wasn't your actual period and was most likely implantation! Don't google stuff (says me who googles everything 😂) it's your worst enemy! I personally have never heard anything like that would be a sign of ectopic. Xx

This happened to me and everything is fine. Don't worry about it x

Sorry I'm so clueless! The thing I'm confused about is if it was implantation 2 weeks ago then my real period was 6 weeeks ago now and that would make me 8 weeks so that doesn't make sense eitherConfused I wonder if I maybe just ovulated really early. Thanks for the advice though guys Smile think I'm still in shock lol

It is possible and the bleed was inplantation but you actually ovulated late in your last cycle? I have 1 day of red bleed then nothing then 2 days later 1 day of red bleed. Doctor said its possible I ovulated late. I'm 7 weeks now. Good luck x

kate288 · 19/11/2017 21:24

Yeh I think that's maybe what has happened to me! Congrats on your pregnancy 😊

Did any of you have cramps in early preg? I've got lower back cramps and stomach cramps as if af Is going to come? From what I've read I think it's quite normal but still a bit scary!

I think you might have ovulated mega early in your cycle. Had it been implantation spotting 2 weeks ago, you’d 5-6 weeks now and the digi would come up as 3+.

Either way, congrats!

In this game our bodies do what ever they want to so try not to read too much into it. You could have ovulated twice
Bled at ovulation
Bled at implantation
Bled from cervix after sex

Consider your self pregnant.

Congratulations Flowers
